I have a Scruggs sneaky with the white butt cap and TS logo. It is 5/16 14
Shaft has a small gouge and a little lift but still plays great, and gouge is not in stroke area. The shaft gouge could be fixed by a repir guy with ease. Nice player with a few marks that has some good looking wood. Taking offers shipped. Need cash for another project no trades. Thank you Mike

Pm was sent. seller will not take 400 for anyone who is interested. But he will take offers. I think post like these should be deleted and anyone in the for sale forum should have to list a price. JMO. GLWS free bump

Scruggs sneaky

Trigger if you have a few I will give you $400 each for them. He is correct the seller won't give it away for $400 Thanks Mike

scruggs

In my opinion $400. would be a good offer for that cue in the condition.
Wish I had 10 in the same condition. I'm sure you would not buy them all, Especially after you see what you get for it. You will see it is going to be a hard sale for any more. Should have grabbed it.

thanks lcbur, kinda what I thought...

Since there is no price listed this would not fall under the bashing a thread rule. $400 is a very fair price for a very plain jane TS in the condition shown. If there was a shaft and joint collar of any kind that would add another $50 IMHO.

Let's not forget that there is a bit of lift on the shaft, which typically means that the joint facing is a bit off.

come on guys, only a few reputable az'er have chimed in and said this cue is not worth more than 400 but lets get 525 out of it. if you sell this I got a bridge I want you to sell for me too!!!

If you sell that RATTY POS case of yours for 150...i also have a bridge you can sell for me too!!! :D

Is the gouge closer to the joint or the tip? how many credit cards could you fit under the lift?

I have to concur with others in this thread. This cue is a little beat up and in obvious need of work. Looks like the seller is trying to sell the name and not the cue. $525 for a cue in this condition is a little high, considering you're going to have to put more money into fixing all the dents/dings and the joint.

The joint I will roll it tonight when I shoot and let you know. Thank you Mike

Roll everything apart and together.
Does butt roll straight alone?
Does shaft roll straight alone, or does it have a lift/roll in it?
How does the cue roll together? Does the tip of the shaft lift off the table when rolled? Does the cue lift at the joint when rolled?
How the pieces roll together and apart can help determine the severity of the roll...ie, both pieces roll straight apart, but rolls off when connected means the facing is probably off...easy fix for that.

I won't get into whether or not it is "worth" what you are asking...it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

Things going "for" it...it is a Scruggs sneaky w/white butt cap.

Things going "against" it...condition, primarily with the shaft...only 12.5mm, has roll (how significant?). As for joint collars, affects value slightly, but many people like "true" sneakies. If it needs a new Scruggs shaft, then value is primarily for the butt alone.

Certain to be a really good player.

Joe

I am a bit thrown off here with the TS sneakies. The cherry ones are worth from what you folks say $600- $650 how can't one not in perfect shape one be worth $100-$150 less. Yes I am trying to sell the cue with SCRUGGS name on it, if it had LUCASI on the butt it would be a $100 cue. I will check all the rolls, dents, dings, scratches, blisters, cracks, warps, gouges, etc. out this evening and have a descreption ready tomorrow to try and get this poor old Scruggs sold. Thank everyone who has looked at this cue and not picked it to death. Joe Lolly is the man thanks Joe..
