Is there somebody on this forum that had surgery because of cubital tunnel syndrome (CTS). My ringfinger and small finger from my left hand were feeling numb for about 3 months. After that I had surgery done (ulnar nerve transposition). That was already 4 weeks ago and there is still no improvement, my fingers are still numb constantly.
I would really love to get some feedback on this cause I'm worried that I will never be able to play like I used to do. Please share your experience on this one.

I can't help with any type of experience with CTS but if there is no improvement after 4 weeks. What does your doctor say about this??

I did cut them same 2 fingers when I was young and now they go numb from poor circulation. This happens rarely,,,but its a terrible feeling.

You either need more time to heal or the surgery didn't work. From what I have seen,,almost anything can be overcome.
Good Luck

thanx for your feedback, I know it feels terrible and it's hard to ignore it. According to the doctor that did the surgery it's normal and it wil go away eventually. My house doctor say's it's not normal and I should feel improvement right after surgery (what didn't happen), also my fysiotherapist thinks the surgery didn't help and it's also possible that the problem is not situated at my elbow but somewhere in the area of my neck. I hope I will find out soon what really went wrong but for now I just feel helpless.

Recovery from cubital tunnel surgery following nerve transposition is highly variable between individuals. 4-12 weeks for symptoms to abate is common, and up to a year is not unheard of. Be patient. Most (but not all) people who have the procedure do improve.

Agreed- I had involvement with this condition recently and IIRC success rates are quite high for the release.

As said, only your Dr can comment w/ any degree of certainty about your particular situation.

Guess I will have to be patient. sure going to enjoy playing pool when I'm recovered. Thanks for your feedback guy's. This gives me hope.
