1960s Micarta Ferrules

bump-a-roo, to get it back where someone that might want some of the ferrules can see this.

Hi,

Real Micarta is a very expensive material because of it's history as a ferrule material, what cuemakers used them, and now it's demand because of it's scarcity as it has not been manufactured for many years.

I would venture to say that any material that was designed to be an insulator for a 345,000 KVW power grid should have some incredible density and resistant structure due to the tight linen spiral weave and the resin chemistry.

I know Mason's ferrules are very popular but so is Ageis, Linen Melamine, Titan, and Juma. Anyone could have called them what ever they wanted.

My ferrules are the real Micarta. Any one who is "in the know" with select knowledge understands this the moment they view the picture. There is no doubt!!

Correction, there is no such thing as 345,000KVW. What you mean is 345kV. That's 345,000 Volts which is a typical transmission line voltage. kV represents kilovolts. kW represents kilowatts. kVA represents kilovolt amperes. Both kW and kVA are power ratings. KVW represents a pool cue manufacturer trying to explain electro technical things. LOL Don't mess with me on electrical things...LOL

Hi,

Thanks for the heads up. I changed the post to 345,000 Volt.

I am a big fan of Nicola Tesla, I do know the difference but was stupid on the thread. http://users.tm.net/lapointe/Nikola.htm

On behalf of George Westinghouse (my Companies Founding Father) I say....

...."3-cheers to Tesla for inventing the AC motor. And thanks for releasing the patents to me so I could get filthy rich and you could go on to try a make the World's most powerful X-Ray gun. Don't mess with me in the Electrical Biz fool and try to bankrupt me in the war of the currents"...!!

Hi,

Don't forget the Coil, Radio, Cathode Ray Tube ( like in Television ) Radar, Sonar, x-ray technology, Florissant Light, Laser, Microwave, guidance systems, and a bunch of other Hush Hush Government Projects he was doing.

When he ripped up the royalty contract to save his friends company (George Westinghouse) from "Edison's Evil Kabul", he gave up the position of being the richest man to have ever lived. Now that's a loyal friend!

All Tesla wanted was to give his gift ( polyphase AC transmission ) to the world. Westinghouse was the only industrialist at the time who would listen to his genius. Edison and his crowd was invested in DC power and would have sold a flawed system to the public if not for Nicola.

A true superman of the like we will never see again. No other person in history has ever had a bigger effect to science than him. Many scholars and men of science do not count out the probability that he was from another alien race. The statistical probability of one man contributing the amount of science he did is so far off the chart the man from space must be considered.

Today not many people know much about him because he pissed off JP Morgan and Thomas Edison and the like so much that they used their power of the press and influence to ban is historical legacy. If you look up Tesla in the encyclopedia, all you see is he invented the polyphase motor and the coil. They could not stop everything. Edison couldn't make a pimple on Tesla's ass and was contemptuous with envy to the point that he wanted to destroy Tesla, his rival.

If it were not for Tesla I would not have this wonderful Micarta Rod to make these great hitting ferules because there would not have been the need for High KVW insulators on the high tension power grid. LOL

Between his science projects he also like to sweat one pocket action!!!:rotflmao1:

Tesla was a "true" man of science, that's for sure.

Edison wanted him dead and Westinghouse trapped him up.
