Opinions On Broken Huebler Buttcap

I have this nice looking Huebler, but half of the buttcap is broken. I am planning on selling the cue. Do you guys think it is worth fixing, or is the cue not worth it? An estimate on the cue's value, and also the cost to fix the buttcap would be much appreciated. I just have not dealt with too many Hueblers, and I figured there were some members with more knowledge then me in this area. Thanks in advance!:)

I would tell you how I would fix it, I would find a Junker / broken Huebler cue with a good butt cap on eBay buy it and remove the weigh bolt and cut the butt cap off the cues butt and remove the wood inside the butt cap. Then remove the broken butt cap on your cue and replace it with the replacement butt cap.

Any cue repair person or maker can do the work, it is an easy job that will also keep the cue in original condition. I know this works because I have done it for a customer and when finished no one could ever tell it was repaired.

Oh and by the way, the Huebler stamp on the butt is a late model stamp make sure if you decide to do it that the name stamp matches which is also not hard to do.

I was thinking around the same thing. Just didn't want to go through the trouble of fixing it, and find out it is worth $80.:(

I don't think that is a problem Heublers are doing well now ( since they closed shop) and those with points are worth fixing. All the cues made by Heubler with points even the Sneaky Petes were made in his shop, not many cue makers make Sneaky pete / House Cue Blanks.

In the right market definitely $300 or more. Only problem is that Paul Hueblers stuff can be very regional. One place worth $150/ another place $400. I would be asking $300 thereabouts retail for a cue like that. Definitely worth fixing. And keep the broken cap just to show people the original.
