For a 62 years old hes still manage to win the one pocket event in Kolbys..also a 3rd place finished in a ten ball tournament in Hard times rescently..His way to get those places was not easy at all, in 1p he needs to beat twice one of the best 1p players Scott Frost..and in ten ball he won against the magician Efren Reyes..I hope to see him in the Hall of fame..

I watched the stream today and Jose was really impressive. He missed a few shots that he should have made but his knowledge and control of the CB were a pleasure to see. He is a class act.

I think so...its high time to acknowledge what he has done and achieved in the world of pool. Jose "Amang" Parica i believed was the one who open up Filipino talent in the world of pool, so just the right time once and for all to give credit to his contributions.....

Sorry guys. Jose is now too old to be inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame, at least for the same reasons that, say, Efren or Mike Sigel have (as a player). Jose's last year of eligibility was the year that Francisco Bustamante was inducted. Now, sadly, Jose can only be inducted for "Lifetime achievement" purposes -- not as a player.

It's sad -- for I were rooting for Jose during the year that Busty got it. Not that Busty didn't/doesn't deserve it, but I think Busty's nomination could've waited a year to allow Jose [deservedly] in.

It's a slap in his (Parica) face not being voted into the Hall Of Fame yet. Johnnyt

Agreed. Personally I don't put much value on other peoples view points about things like this. There are a lot of politics involved as we all know. A Hall of Fame to me is about performance. Pete Rose is unquestionably one of the greatest ball players of all time, and he was withheld by a technicality for gambling as we all know. Jose will always be included in my personal hall of fame and a first round inductee! That's all that matters to me.

Jose Parcia making it into the HOF as a "Lifetime Achievement" is worse than he not making it as a player. If you didn't induct him as a player, which may be the biggest joke ever, don't try and make yourself (HOF) feel good and induct him as almost good enough.

The man was simply the best for a long period of time and not being recognized for such an achievement is pathetic.

Could not agree with you more; I'm definitely happy for Bustamante, but Parica should have been in long ago. It's puzzling why he hasn't been elected yet...
