I think this is a better idea then having a bunch of single raffles at once. It seems like you are only competing against yourself. I try and only have one raffle going at a time, especially if they are similar priced items, or if another person has a raffle for a similar product. Also, the more raffles going on at once, the slower the whole section becomes, imo. I may not be completely right, but I have seen this section go through ups and down since the start.

Thanks for the picks Ross, and I agree. In this economy, I feel having a multiple selection will give people a chance to focus more on the item they like without being committed to multiple spots in a bunch of contests at once. Also, the winner may not pick the cue you would, so there's a chance that you get another shot at a particular item in a later contest.
