APA in Fulton NY A MUST READ STORY

I think you were the first to say that here. Well I for one wouldn't trade morals for money. The LO didn't betray the opposing team member who helps him run Oswego county operations and the APA didn't contradict the LO, one of 250 they have. He's a good earner no doubt. I hope they choke on it, whatever they make I wouldn't sell my soul to get it.

I'm considering starting a BCA league in the area, we have a new room with 8 Diamond bar boxes nearby and lots of good barbox players around who wouldn't play APA. Only need 30 players to get a franchise. If I do it, I would work with a few others to run it and just put earnings back into prize monies. Basically try to get people to play and win to the BCA nationals.

The BCAPL or ACS in my book are both good leagues. You may want to check out the new NAPA leagues as well. From what I have seen they are going to be a good league to come. http://www.napaleagues.com

Sounds like karma found YOU.

Then again, this is prolly a recurring theme in your life.

Eric >some ppl nvr learn
Eric, You just never stop do you. Buddy you have no idea how happy or sucessful I am. Why you choose to dog me repeatedly here I cannot understand. There are a few guys that like to do this to people who post here. They call guys like you nits, I can think of several other descriptions.

I could give a rats a$$ what you think of me punk.

Go ahead and take pleasure in my teams loss if it makes you happy. Wouldn't that make you the sick twisted sadistic individual?

Now THAT'S EXACTLY how to pay them back.
I wish we had BCA where I live because the APA is slowly wearing on me.

Don't think that I can't get it done either. The real players around here need this so I think that we'll have to get this done. If it helps the new room all the better. It keeps me up at night imagining those 8 Diamond barboxes not getting played!

Just A$$holes like you thanks. So bold behind a keyboard little man. Are you within a few hundred miles of me or Vegas? Maybe we could clarify this by speaking in person. Are you from Buffalo, I know you live on a street corner, but which one?

Seems to me that the APA learned of your intent to gamble and that is the reason for the suspension. In the below quote replace "law(s) with "APA rules".

http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Specific+Intent
Specific Intent
0.01 sec.

The mental purpose, aim, or design to accomplish a specific harm or result by acting in a manner prohibited by law.

The term specific intent is commonly used in criminal and Tort Law to designate a special state of mind that is required, along with a physical act, to constitute certain crimes or torts. Specific intent is usually interpreted to mean intentionally or knowingly. Common-law Larceny, for example, requires both the physical act of taking and carrying away the property of another and the mental element of intent to steal the property. Similarly, common-law Burglary requires breaking and entering into the dwelling of another with an intent to commit a felony therein. These crimes and others that require a specific-intent element are called specific-intent crimes and are distinguished from general-intent crimes. e General-intent crimes require only a showing that the defendant intended to do the act prohibited by law, not that thdefendant intended the precise harm or the precise result that occurred

Never intended to do anything but show the guy I wasn't scared of his game. I would say winning 7 straight, with him only getting to kick twice, showed that as well as anything.

If you think saying "Bet from here", like saying I bet you won't win from here, was enough to warrant the way I was treated by the opposing team or warrant the APA sanction then horray that's your opinion. I would think that most rational individuals would say that both of their responses were excessive.

Guys like the ones on the other team would never gamble against myself. They are pretty stupid, but not stupid enough to realize they had no chance. That's why he tried to shark me with his break speed, jump the CB off the table lag and their threats of physical violence ect... When I kicked his teeth in on the table 7 games straight all he could do was take a swing at me. Pretty pathetic really and no skin off my nutz. He's out of APA for life which is the only game for him up there.

I had no power over anyone there to control what they did. I did however have a strong game which was what it's supposed to be about. Not about the APA getting richer, not bangers hitting balls into rails, but a competition where the best players win. We won, we knew we would and I'll be in Vegas in no time, those facts are indisputable.

If things haven't changed, anyone can start and sanction a BCA league. I did.

I played in the APA for a couple of years. We had a 7 on the team, and I was forced to sandbag as a 6 in order to keep our team of friends together. I never intentionally lost a match, I just ran up innings. Probably only losing 1 or 2 matches in that period. Eventually, I was moved to a 7.

Instead of playing the "pay to lose game" to lower my handicap, I and my teams 7 decided to started a BCA league. We had George Fels (Billiards Digest), Joe Gold (Cognoscnenti Cues), and Larry Schwartz (IPT player) to name a just a few of the players. There were a ton of other solid players in the league as well. It was a great league, but a lot more work than I realized. Eventually, we let someone else take it over.

The bottom line is, if you don't like the APA in your area, think about starting your own BCA league.

P.S. Support the BCAPL and not the ACS. You will not regret it.

Thanks Jason, I've heard from others that that is the way to go. I'll see if a few of us can get it off the ground.

I'm sorry if you thought I was suggesting that you're treatment by the opposing team wasn't wrong. The person who hit you was wrong and his lifetime ban was the correct choice by the APA. The others who threatened you should also receive sever sanctions.

However, your offer to gamble showed, IMO, your intent and that IMO is why you were suspended for 90 days.

For the record I like the position the APA takes on gambling.

Brian you may also want to look at the USAPL "USA Pool League". It is a new branch from CSI that owns the BCAPL and has a format similar to the APA with protected territories and no franchise fee. I haven't looked at it very thoroughly but in my opinion anything CSI is involved with is for the players and not to just take money out of your pocket.

Bro, I've said it 25 times "Bet from here." A statement yes. Meaning what who knows. Did I actually gamble NO.

I think your original quote was, "Bet $500 from here?"

That shows your intent. Do you not understand that intent to gamble is also against the rules? Or so it appears by the APA ruling.
