Texas Open at Skinny Bob's Sept 2-4th

Trudy's Bar

Thats funny, Trudy's was the first out of state bar I ever played pool on my own, ( other than Greenville,MS at 14 yrs. when I was with Calvin ), it was 115 miles from Warren, AR., always drove down on Friday night's.

I used to borrow my friends Drivers License when I was just 17yrs. to go there and play pool, back then you only had to be 18yrs. to get into bars in LA., and back then there were No picture ID's, just memorize the information on them and you was good to go!

There was a ton of pool action in that place, I mostly always left winner, sometimes I even ran into ole Barry, that was 35 yrs. ago!

I won a ton of money in that joint. That old Fischer with that grapefruit cue ball and that pole right beside the corner pocket.
No ball in hand, no pushes no spotting balls, just whorehouse 9 ball!!
God miss that place and love old Trudy.
The only player i sent in there was Joey Torman, and he got beat, LOL!!

Catman,

Ya'll coming to the Texas Open?

Ray

Are you sure? :D
yes I am very sure of that. That place was a well kept secret for many many years. Then one day Terry Bell walked in and the lid was blown off.
I really regretted sending Joey as he was such a low life thief, but I had a soft spot for the goof ball.

Ray , Calvin and I are thinking about it, but we do have a family reunion that weekend, so not sure yet.

Texas Open

Lewis,

Let everyone know that the players coming from out of town can stay at the Candlewood Suites Inn. I went and checked Big Truck in today for this weekends qualifier. $45.00 bucks a night. You just cant touch this price for this value anywhere. Victoria is a fantastic lady and cant wait for the players to come to town

Her number is 512-828-0899

Candlewood is really nice! It's Holiday Inn's extended stay. If you are a priority club member you can get 2pm checkout!! :) So if you plan on winning this, get your room booked!
