I wish you had posted that price here.

Nothing wrong with him trying to make a profit.

If you don't want the cue, don't bash his price.

If you want the cue, make him an offer via PM.

Joe

I was wondering the same thing. I was one of the "watchers" when it was on Ebay. If it had been the Blak 1, it would have been mine !!!

I like the retired Blak 1 too, I think he made a mistake in listing without a reserve.

I wonder if he will honor the sale...

OP let us know

Absoluetly nothing wrong with making a profit.

I don't see either of our posts bashing his price, just inquiring about the Ebay sale is all, sorry if it came across as bashing, I surely wasn't.

If it was a Blak 1, I would have bought it off Ebay and wouldn't have to make an offer.

Why shouldn't he? That looked a reasonable price to me. It was a USED cue, don't forget. I saw one on here a while ago for $400, with no sale.

My apologies, Lee.

When I see a post on here that questions the fact that someone bought the cue off Ebay for less, it always comes across to me as "sour grapes". It sometimes seems that the person is upset that he did not win the cue and is now upset that the winner of the cue thinks he can profit from it.

My philosophy on Ebay is...if you want the cue, place a bid high enough to get it.

If it is a deal, someone will take it...you can bet on that.

Truthfully, it does not matter if the cue came from Ebay or elsewhere, or what the OP acquired it for. He should be able to ask whatever he wants for it. The market will determine whether or not he has it overpriced. If someone wants to question him, it should be done via PM.

Now, if there is an issue that you are aware of with a cue, and the seller does not disclose it, that is another matter altogether (does not appear to be the case here).

JMHO,
Joe

I think the guys are asking if the OP is the winning bidder of this cue or is he the ebay seller of the cue? If he listed it on ebay and didn't bring the money he thought it should, did he back out of the ebay deal and offer it here? If the cue sold for XXX on ebay, it should go to the highest bidder.

If he bought it on ebay and is reselling it, more power to ya. The description post he posted here and on ebay are almost word for word which makes me think he is the ebay seller, unless, of course, he's just using the sellers description.

I think that is where they were going with that...

Ahhhh, no apologies necessary Joe, I'm kinda new to THIS forum and didn't want you, or anyone else to think I was giving the wrong impression or stepping on any toes. I completely agree with you 100%, it doesn't matter WHERE the cue was listed and the market will determine if the asking price is too high or not. Personally, I thought his starting bid of $500 was a jam up price for a Blak 2 in the condition it was stated, whoever got it for the final bid I personally feel they got a great deal.

By the way, been tooling around on your website this morning, BEAUTIFUL cues, maybe one day I'll be able to step up and afford one of your cues, lol. :D

I agree 100%, hope it didn't sound like I was bashing the guy.

Just figured it had to be a mistake to sell for so little.
