Streamin and my work

I thought I would have streaming capability now but, frankly the whole process defeats me. Sorry and I don’t know when or if I’ll be able to do that.
I would love to do commentary on some gambling matches but I can’t work for little or no money.I asked for $3,000 for 5 days and got turned down. I then asked for $1,500 and didn’t get hired. I guess my services aren’t worth much.I will try to learn how to stream out from my place but I can’t promise anything.

Grady,

Good luck with the streaming. I'm sure you'll get it worked out.

As for the streaming, I think a grand for 5 days of commentating matches would be reasonable. If hey're not willing to pay it, that's their loss.

About the streaming technology, there's a lot of folks doing it these days. Aside from having the right equipment, you do need to have a little knowhow, I guess, on how to operate the equipment proficiently. I'm not sure if you're still writing for InsidePOOL, but I have heard that J.R. Calvert is streaming. I'll bet if you consult with him, he'd be more than happy to share a few tips and techniques that could point you in the right direction.

I heard it through the grapevine that J.R. will be streaming the Virginia State 9-Ball Championship on July 30-31, 2011, at Diamond Billiards in Midlothian, Virginia. That would be a great place for you to offer your commentary services for that event, as well as picking J.R.'s brain about how to operate the stream. You could contact Josh Dickerson, the promoter for this event, at http://va-pool.com or through the PDF flyer below entitled State Tourney 2011.

Keith and I will not be attending, if that will help you in your decision-making process. I am sure the pool fans would love to see you walk in.
