Orange Crush

I always thought the Orange Crush was the 5,6,7,8,9 out (wild even on the break) and all the breakshots.

Looks like the spot's been reduced perhaps due to the recession?

:)

I always thought the orange crush meant giving up the break as well as the 5 and out. If you can`t win with this spot you should run like hell.

I've always been told that the spot we're talking about is indeed the 5-out WITH the break.

Well, I have played 49 years, and the orange crush always meant the 5-out
(that's where the term crush comes from).

I have always seen the orange crush played that way also, i.e. 5 out and breaks. PHX/PNW. Weird.

I have trouble believing life can be this complicated.....
...words should mean something!

I've been in a lot of action in my life and I have given the orange crush
AND I've given the break and the 5-6-7-8, for fairly serious money.
I think it's obvious that these are TWO DIFFERENT GAMES.

If you ask for the 5, that's what you get.
If you want the 6-7-8 with it.....THEN ASK FOR THEM.

I was running a room in the 80's and was holding $4,000 stakes.
I'm watching two guys go to the table and sounding like they're agreeing
on a game....one player is playing RACE to 5...the other player is playing
5 AHEAD.
I turned the table lights off...they were yelling "What are you doing?"
I finally got them to understand that they had two different ideas of
how they were playing......they couldn't agree so decided not to play.
I gave them their 2,000 apiece back and avoided a fight.
