someone to make custom triangle racks?

It was said that I should move this to the 'Ask the Cuemaker' section as someone in the industry of making cues might be interested in helping me with this one. Sorry for teh double post. Not sure how to move and delete threads.

I'm looking for someone woodshop savvy to make me a few different custom pool ball racks. I want a 3 ball triangle, 6 ball triangle, 10 ball triangle, 3 ball inline/straight rack, and a custom rack for setting pool table top bowling pins. I want them to be dowel construction out of wood. to match with the other wood triangle and diamond racks I have. They don't need to be exact! Just as long as they are wood and sturdy, look good and play good, I am happy. Please pm me if you are interested in making me some and we can talk a bit more about it. We'll keep it simple and do one at a time if you wish. Will gladly pay for the work, but would like to keep the cost low. Anyway, I can't stand plastic and want something a little more unique. I'm wondering... I can figure all the measurements... I have a jig saw, table saw, and band saw in my grandfather's shop. The ones made in China are made from maple. I wonder how hard it would be to make them myself? Does any one know what the darker wood is that's fitted in the corners of the racks? Or is it just a dark stain for looks? Is there an easier way to apply a thin coat of polyurethane other then brushing it on? What sand paper should I use to smooth down the polyurethane coat?

Other than 3 balls in a row, a standard rack does the job perfectly for the other geometries.

Yes, I know I can just use the standard racks for most games. I just thought it would be nice to have the special racks. It's really more of a novelty, but I'd love to have them for my pool room.
