Earl Strickland vs Dennis Hatch and many others at the Seminole Pro Tour

Thanks for the links . I noticed that Earl was using a cardboard tube over the shaft of his cue to break with . He used a closed bridge around the tube and stroked his cue through the tube. I chalked that up to another Earl gimmick and chuckled.

Then i watched about half the Dechaine/Deuel match and Corey was using the bridge to break with . He laid the head of the bridge at a 45 degree angle to the side rail and used one of the bridge slots to stroke through to break. He held the bridge down on top of the head rail with his left hand and one handed the break .

thanks for the links. The quality is great but i have quite a lot of aliasing ( if you are into videogames and similar) the contours are serrated... am I the only one?

I saw most of those matches in person. Best tournament I've ever been to. If I hadn't seen them live I would say $0.99 is a bargain.

Do they come with free water?

And complementary snacks too. :D I have paid for four of their other matches, one recently was the Alex Vs. Shane match. I just thought it was cool that they let these others go for free. Great matches and awesome stream.

I have never seen anybody break with a bridge until watching Corey's match. WHy on earth is he breaking with a bridge?

Damn Dennis! Why did scratch so much? You're still my pool hero nevertheless; keep that rock on the table and no one will beat ya

Thanks so much for the links. Some really great pool. Does anyone know why Corey was using the bridge to break with? I can't think of any advantage or reason. Perhaps it was psychological warfare.

Whatever he was doing, it wasn't working out in his favor.

Aliasing is a phenomenon related to how the camera fills in fine detail for an image. It's not just you but it crops up alot when people wear certain textures of clothing, or certain stripe patterns... the camera cannot capture enough information to fill in the image to that fine of detail and therefore fills in the image as best it can...

Aliasing occurs quite a bit with video and is a part of the game... the tradeoff for lower priced cameras with good quality image vs high end gear that will run you 10k plus.

Hope that clears things up for ya.

Uh huh, I see. That was happening with a Corey Deuel match I watched last week on HD. Kinda trippy. Thanks.
