Selling out for real! (pic intense)

I've come to a hard-learned realization today, and have decided to really commit to selling my billiards items. I have only room for one hobby anyways, and I've played this game for 18 years of my life, so it's time to move on. After 18 years I would think that I'd get more out of this game and that I'd be better than I am, though I only play maybe once a week anymore. This is just not the case so it's gotta go whether it be locally or here. My prices will be firm as they are low enough, so sorry guys but offers or trades will not be welcome this time. What I'm selling off is a number of things and I'll add as much info as I can, but I'm not gonna invest in calipers and a scale for one last go-around. My info will be factual as I see it and if it IS different, it won't be by very much at all. I'm uploading pics to Photobucket now so I'll upload em asap.

My 1st cue is my "purpleheart twin" player. It's a DZ purpleheart sneaky with a 'hoppe ring' and a decently figured birdseye forearm. The joint is 3/8x10 (mcdermott style) and there is no ivory in this cue. It was built in 2006' and weighs approximately 19oz with 1 shaft AND custom JP's. It rolled straight as of today with no wobble whatsoever I could see. The tip is a Med. Talisman. On the shaft by the ferrule is a 'sugar mark' or whatever you'd call it. I always called it the grain in the wood? I have a pic of it below. I'm looking for $250 shipped.

My 2nd cue is the 'twin' j/b cue to the above mentioned player which is also a DZ PH sneaky with a 'hoppe ring' and decently figured birdseye maple forearm. There is also no ivory in this cue. The 3/8x10 jump joint is below the points and has 2 minor nicks in the finish which I have a pic of. The main joint is also 3/8x10 and this also was made in 2006'. This cue weighs approximately 20oz but does have a weight bolt to lighten it a little, though I'm not sure how much, sorry. It comes with 1 shaft AND custom JP's. This cue also rolled straight as of today with no visible wobbles I could find either. The tip is I believe a Water Buffalo. I'm looking for $250 shipped on this cue as well. ( I'll do $475 shipped for the pair to keep them together)

My 3rd cue is a Pechauer PRO-H wine weighing approximately 19oz or just a hair below, with 2 Pechauer shafts. 1 original and 1 with a black trim ring. The original rolls straight and the black trim ring shaft has a very minor roll-out about 1-2 inches from the ferrule bottom. Nothing comes off the table and it didn't affect my playing with it, but it's there so I'm mentioning it. The joint pin is their 'speed joint' which I believe is 5/16x14 but with a non-threaded section of the pin near the forearm. I have a pic of course! You're going to be impressed by the very curly maple in this cue throughout! I'm looking for $225 shipped

I also have 3 shafts for sale too. I have 1 DZ 'stiff taper' shaft at 13mm in awesome condition and I believe a Water Buffalo tip. Joint is 3/8x10. Looking for $75 shipped

I have a DZ low deflection shaft roughly 12.50mm with a Med. Moori tip that shoots lights out! This is the cue I used when I did play guys, it plays great! There is a nick about 2 inches from the ferrule bottom, and it is pictured best I could, but it never bothered me when I played with it and that's why I never had it fixed! I'm sure it would 'swell out' but I'm not messing with it. Joint is 3/8x10 and I'm looking for $75 shipped

My last shaft is a Predator 314(2) in awesome condition! Original Everest tip only scuffed once and 3/8x10 joint. I believe this shaft to be 12.75mm and rolled straight today with no visible taper roll or any roll whatsoever. Looking for $190 shipped.

I have a 3x7 Instroke vinyl case with minor scratches on the back also, but it can only go after the cues are gone or with the sneaky pete twins together as I have a 1x1 case besides it. I'm looking for $120 shipped and it comes with an 'its george' shoulder pad on the strap...I bought it with the understanding that's what it is, but it's very nice even if not!

Pics will be added below and if you still have any questions just ask.

So you are aware in case you'd like to buy anything here, Paypal is acceptable but only in 'gift' form so there are no fees for me. I'm offering decent items here for good deals already, so I'd appreciate the help from the buyers to give them my best deal possible.Other types of payment are ok too, just contact me and lets chat about what you'd have in mind. Thanks for looking, Jeff

PM me and I'll send you my paypal info to pay if interested.

Sunday AM bump!

Just a little Sunday morning bump for all to see. Unless I need to sell the case in a deal with 2 cues, I have somebody interested already.

PM answers

WOW! For all the questions via PM, I'm not exactly sure what material the 'hoppe rings' are but they are not ivory for sure. Again, the jump/break DZ can be lightened a little by taking out the little weight bolt, though I'm not sure just how much as I've never and don't wanna take it out...I have no way to weight it anyways. They were made in 2006 as shown in my pic. They rolled straight for me yesterday when I checked them. I've only ever seen 1 DZ cue that didn't stay straight over the years, and yes I owned it at the end, but it was not straight at the handle, not the shafts. Yes the forearms are birdseye maple, not crap birdseye as in most premade blanks. Lastly, both cues come with 1 shaft each but I have 3 other shafts that will fit these cues very well. 2 perfectly and the Predator is a hair bigger at the joint.

These are Bob's standard length cues and his site says that is 58 inches. I never cared enough to check but just had this question PM'd to me.

I hope these answers help, Jeff

Sad day! I have given up my cues many times over the years. Sometimes over financial situations, sometimes over frustration. I quit for couple years once but if you have that many years invested it will always be in your blood trust me. I dont understand either that i have been shooting 22 years and still not at a professional level. I dont understand it due to the thousands of hours ive put into it but i have to accept it. Ive played 9 ball the whole time. Couple years ago i took up bank pool and it has kept my interest, because i can see a great improvement in my skills. This was not true in 9 ball.

not really

Not really a sad day, it's more 'a means to an end'. In other words, I've considered dropping this 'sport' a few times before, but allowed myself to be talked into coming back. Not this time! I've finally seen first hand some things about the sport that I really despise and figured that was me at one point in my life. I don't wish to be like that anymore if it really were me, and to accomplish that I need to just quit. I have accomplished many things most players will not get to try and I can remember when this game was good, so I will retreat with some great memories. I have some good stuff for good prices here, get em' while I got em!!

P.S. Like I said in my 1st post, my prices are firm and neither trades or offers are welcome guys. Please no more of either, I don't have a need for them. Thanks again, Jeff

Edit: WOW! I'm getting alot of subjective questions regarding the DZ cues. How's it play? How's it 'hit'? How's the j/b play / jump / break? All I can say is that 'I' have had these cues since 12/05 and Bob put 06' on for me making them the 1st ones made for 06' supposedly... I don't care really. Anyways, I have bought and sold MANY items, and have held onto these cues. That tells ME something! Play, hit, jump, break, etc...is ALL subjective! What works for 1 guy may NOT work for the next. Just take a chance, these are cheap enough to try them for yourself!

Yeah, I know what you mean about some aspects of the sport. Ive been in around pool rooms and worked there most of my life. I dont understand why pool rooms tend to attract a high percentage of outlaws and cons. I have seen people jacked up on coke or pills freezing up money playing for hours on end, making trips to bathroom ever so often. Ive seen the cons and hustles. And i hate when someone screws someone backing them. What kills me is some of these shady characters can play some jam up pool. But their main concern is just getting the money. Most to buy drugs with.
So hope your new start on life give you great success....;)

It's the shaft in the middle of my pic of the 3 shafts. You can see the nick in the pic of the shafts showing the tips if you look closely. I'll number my pics soon and be able to specify then, sorry. Gimme about 3 hours so my kids get to sleep before I mess with my post. Thanks, Jeff

Jeff, I want to wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Children also have a way of helping to change one's perspective (in a very good way). :)

Thanks Sean, I appreciate your comment!! Yes, my kids are making me a better man by the day, and that IS the reason I don't wanna be involved in the BS anymore. When my older one is old enough, IF he wants to play, we will but only on my terms and we play together. I don't want him involved like I was with gambling and what not...It's just a bad scene when you get certain types together. I assume he will wanna do whatever I'm doing, as he already is for sure...and I'm hoping to be wrapped up in photo work then, as it's slowly becoming a reality for me

Anyways, thanks sir and if I need anything in the future I will look you up!

shaft nick

Here is the pic of the nicked shaft with moori tip I've been popularly asked for. It looks pretty bad but it's really not to me. Maybe I'm just used to it? Anyways, here ya' go guys!

It wouldn't take much to bring that out. An experienced cuemaker can do it for sure........... then it's good to go..........
