Anyone know anything about them, their present value? How they hit?
I have never heard of them before....
From what I understand, Andrew Diamond had a line of cues made, by Adam / Helmstetter, in Japan. He may have designed the line, but I do not know. I think that I read somewhere that he told people at the trade shows that he was a custom pool cue maker himself (lol), and that he made them. He did not though. Not even sure if he even designed them. He may have just invested in a line of cues, and had Adam put his Logo on the cues, and left it up to Helmstetter to do the designs. I do not know. All that I do know (for a fact) is that his line of cues were made by the Adam / Helmstetter cue company, in Japan. I am guessing maybe late 80's / early 90's? I believe that it would have been around the same time that the 86/87 Series Helmtetter cues were being made, because the butts were a little shorter then normal, and the shafts were a little longer then normal (for approximately a 1" difference in length), and it gave the cues a nice forwards balance, in my opinion. Anyways, they were basically Helmstetter cues, in my opinion. Just with the Andrew Diamond (D logo) on them.
By the way, sorry for bumping a 16 year old thread, lol, but I was actually looking for opinions on the value of my Diamond cue too. I am guessing the value is not much, because though the butt of my cue rolls perfect, the shaft is warped. So, I have actually been needing a shaft for the cue. It is the only cue that I currently have, but I really love the design. These may not have much value, even if in perfect condition. Not sure though. They sure are super rare though, for whatever that is worth.
