Final Score TAR PPV - 35-31 SVB - SVB runs 7 racks in a row!

This is the kind of pool that gets us all riled up. I love it. It makes me wanna watch more pool, and play more.... it really livens things up. I can't help but keep thinking however about comments I have seen recently about 9 and 10 ball being "dying" games because of the rack. It seems obvious that we all love to see a guy keep his opponent in the chair. I know I do at least.

Just a suggestion - it might be cool to have an infobox on screen somewhere with the stakes for people who don't know what's going on. I had to explain the game five or six times for each new person who wandered over. You know like for all you already do it would be great if you could take care of my local needs here as well...... :-)

Rock on!

John, haven't you ever been in a poolroom? That sounds like par for the course. Everytime somebody is matching up at the Derby or my home room or any tournament, people always come up and ask what the game, stakes, score, etc are.

It sounds like you want Justin to take all the work away from you. Then it wouldn't feel like the match was a REAL poolroom atmosphere any longer, lol.

I've said it too but people tend to ignore it. On a diamond with those deep shelves I actually like these tighter pockets better than standard cut pockets because a well struck ball tends to fall in easier than on a standard diamond.

I think with a good facing angle and 4.25 inch corner pockets and equivalent side pockets, that that would be ideal on a diamond.

My next thing is to get to one of the new diamonds with the new rails to see how they bank.

If they bank like they should, I may have to consider getting one.

The end rail definitely is not as flat as the usual one .
Glen, if you could do that angle and keep the corners at 4 1/8", it'd play better than 4.25 with 141* I think.

:-) Yeah, one night after the SBE I walked into Markley's Billiards in Norristown (Philly burb) and the place was packed. The buzz was that in the back corner there was a match of back pocket nine ball for 2k. Well by the time I got back there it was a set for $50....

I have the solution for the TAR situation. I am going LOW TECH and writing a post it note to stick on my laptop explaining the game. :-)
