After my Lux Matter 1340 took a spill, I searched everywhere for parts and finally found Promach Inc. We went back and forth trying to figure out exactly what the CORRECT replacement parts were.
When I finally got the package(cost 250 to ship a small 5lb pack....
) it was missing a machining step(no oil port like the original I sen pics of) and the holes didn't quite line up correctly(This was like the original.)Apparently they haven't decided to fix it.
It WAS the part I ordered, it just wasn't "right". They sent me a pic of the casting(unpainted) and I approved it to be shipped with some other items. I consider this my fault, but also thought it would bolt up. I know now why the original had bent bolts and the socket head was turned down...
I sent them an email, but considered myself SOL with only myself to blame. 400.00 down the tube.
Then....2 days after my email I get a reply saying they sent another one.
They sent another 3 day air from Taiwan......
Today I received it, along with new thrust bearings, washers, and cover plate....!
I'm still in shock!
