Tiger onyx tip back

I just bought some tiger onyx tips to try and noticed the glue side has a pretty deep stamp in it. If I were to sand these level it would take off a couple layers of the tip.

For those who have installed them is this what your supposed to do? Does filling it in with epoxy and sanding it down sound like a bad idea?

The stamp doesn't matter....all of the Tiger tips have it. You don't need to sand flush or fill it. Just lightly scuff the back and glue as normal...your adhesive of choice will fill the stamp. This is exactly as I was told by Tony from Tiger...and I have never had an issue with 100's of Tiger installs. Corey also told me that you can glue either side...so if it bothers you then glue the other side.;)

Awesome, just what I needed to know. I'm still a little scared about getting air under it, but I'll see what happens.
