Has anyone had a problem with the colored paper veneer rings from Prather?

I put them in a cue for the first time today. When clamp the cue up they just all came apart. The pressure or the epoxy made them just fall apart. Any suggestions?

What did they say at Prather when you gave them a call?
Not really knowing what you are trying to do, you may try gluing them up on a mandrel and install them on the cue as a unit. You can make mandrels for this out of Delrin rod.

i guess im confused did they de laminate from the pack or did they crumble to pieces when you squeezed them???

best thing to do is just make all your rings from phenolic i pretty much stoped using all paper rings.

Hi,

I use them all the time. They crack easy. Maybe one was split and when you compressed it the glue spread it out.

try not using alot of glue then slowly add pressure a little bit at a time. let sit then come back and add more pressure.
