LTB Parts To Finish A Spray Booth

I think it's funny. They replace the base coat with waterborne, but the base coats don't have anything bad in them. They still use the same primers, fillers, and clear coats, and they all have bad stuff in them.

Our government at work!

I think sometimes they just want to be able to say they did something. It doesn't matter if it right or not.

It's easy to scoff because, with the exception of getting sick and headaches(which don't always manifest themselves), these chemicals are slow working. It took ALONG time before anyone acknowledged smoking was harming.

I can only convey my experience first hand from a year or two in that business. I KNOW I've never had headaches like that since.

headsches pfffff try isocyanate poisoning ( http://www.axispro.com/index.php?categoryID=22 ) my throat bleed for a yr, i worked for a company that would give us respirators small cheapo one that would typically be good for 1 job well i would have to paint 3-5 ambulances a night with the same one and sometimes they ran out the next day so you had to reuse the old one, well next thing i know i cant breath im getting sick couching up blood i had breathed in so much of that stuff that it sealed the cillia in my throat (little hair that fight infection) and i was getting infections all the time and making me sick. this was after 4yrs of daily exposure. so i quit and played more pool :-)

now ive tried and tried and tried waterbase clears and i can not get them as deep and shinny as i can auto clear like not even close, i used hightowers, enduro, barringers and none of them even come close to a cheapo auto clear let alone a good one.

Now PPG has a new waterbased clearcoat available but not to the masses like us only special shops and people that go take their class on how to use it will be able to buy it for now the biggest diffrence is it needs a special temp enviroment for it to cure but its suppossedly shinny as glass, doesnt fisheye and never gloggs a gun..... i guess in a couple yrs when they release it to the masses we will find out.

until then its Epoxy, CA, or Autoclear for me.
