My buddy's got an R12 from 1985 that he might want to
sell. Enjoy everyone. Oh, and he'd love to know what this
cue might be worth, in today's market, so opinions are truly
appreciated. Thanks all.

What a great example of a classic cue! If it were mine and there were no issues with the cue - straight - solid - shafts aren't whittled down - it's selling for $1,250 or it's staying home. JMO Thanks for showing this cue.

Thanks Bob, One shaft is damn near a full 13mm. The other right about 12.5.
I'm having him give me exact specs. when he's ready, if he's ready.:D. One
more thing.......The shafts are original, but both of them get some resistance
on the last half to full turn when screwing it together. He told me that they
were like that when he bought the cue new in '85. Is that the norm for these
older Schon cues? I've had a few, and they never did this. I took the pics,
and did screw the cue together when I noticed it. The cue rolls straight with
the slightest of taper rolls in the shafts. No joint movement, no tip movement.

A liitle candle wax on joint pin might clear that sticking up.....ps sweet cue....

My R12 is tight on the last turn too. Always has been no matter which shaft I use.

That is a nice cue and would not last long for sale.
