USBA/BFUSA Nationals programs needed

I'm helping Charlie Ursitti put together a full listing of the US Nationals since the BFUSA (later to become the USBA) started in 1966. I have programs from most of the years but I'm missing the following:

1979 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1993 1996
1997 1999 2004 2009

If anyone has copies of these, I would very much like to get full scans of them. I'll do the scanning and return the program. If you have extra programs, I'd like to have a copy and I have some copies of other years to trade for them.

Some of the programs are already available on-line at http://www.sfbilliards.com/PDF_DIR/

Bob,

They all may not exist. I can't speak for the later years, but in 91 & 93 (& maybe 94) I don't remember that there were any. When I played in 80 (actually the 81 nationals) there was a program because we all had to qualify so the players were set, (91, 93 & I think 94) the players could buy their way in.

That's my recolection anyway, sorry I couldn't be of more help. I do have a program from 81 if you need it.

I do believe there were programs for some of the Nationals in the 90s because I bough an ad in one of them. Good luck in your search.

Yes, it's possible that some years had no program. There were periods in there when the organization was in flux. I already have 1981 (December of 1980) which is online as http://www.sfbilliards.com/PDF_DIR/BFUSA1981r.pdf

That year there were 10 players at the Nationals. At the end of the program is the filled-out match chart.

Thanks for the link to the program with results. I was so not prepared for that touranment, it was my first on that big of stage and it showed. Can you say..."suckage" :).
 
Great stuff, love to see this kind of thing posted.
What's amazing to me is how low the averages are. I mean, Eddie Robin and Allen Gilbert are falling short of a .9. Bob Byrne, who basically wrote the book in this country, is barely a .5. He would've just barely made the cut to be a B player now.

Just looking at basic B tournament results today:

There's alot of guys well over 1.0, a couple of 1.3s, I think the lowest is close to a .5. The average seems to be around .8 or so, which would have put you in the US championship range then.

Hi Harry,
At this point, I think we're interested in any major tournament especially if the chart has been filled out. Charlie is trying to summarize results rather than just entries.
