What's the biggest package you've ever run?

The most I've ever ran is two racks in nine ball,I scratched on the eight ending my rain at the table,an that was during my apa league match.
Thats the best game I've had so far.

Eight ball,I've ran two racks.I'm not a rack runner, but if you leave me, I could be out.

Well, let's see- they were racking the 9 on the spot to make it hard to make a ball on the break. They did one race to 25 which took a few hours. And, you want to compare THAT to what someone has done once in a lifetime of playing??? Are you kidding me????? You do understand the difference between high runs and average runs, don't you??? Are we to dismiss Earls 11 racks, or Archers 13 racks because they don't normally run that many???

Neil,

I don't think you are understanding the meaning of my original post. But, let me try to clear it up for you. The meaning of the post was not about Shane and Earl playing last night or where they were racking.

Reviewing the stats, there are at least 30 people posting in this thread that could give Shane the 7 out and Earl the 8 and last 3 last night.

Look at line 4 - number of rank run

Shane 1
Earl 5

I realize this was only 1 night for Shane and Earl but these are two of the best. And, we have guys posting in here who appear capable of playing with anyone.

I think most people know who Chip Compton, Joey Gray, Shane McMinn, and Gabe Owns are. I've watched these guys many times here in Oklahoma. I've never seen any of these guys put a 6 pack together. I'm not saying the couldn't or haven't. I just have never seen it.

For all those posters who have put large packages together, please tell me the number of times you have been to the US Open or Derby and where you finished each year.

I don't think I've ever put a 2 pack together. But, if I could string packages these guys are posting, I guaranty I would be playing in all the major tournaments.

I guess what I'm saying is, I call BS.

I will bet whatever you want that chip has run a 6 pack !

James I know your right, I just have not seen it. I was not trying to take anything away from Chip. In fact, I have posted many times about Chip and Joey. Both are great players and will have a long and successful career.

Look, I watch Chip and Joey play each other a lot. I've never seen either of them put a 6 pack together. Both are capable and I'm sure they have many time, I've just never seen it. I watched Chip play Gabe Owen 4 set to 13. I think a 3 pack is the largest I saw.

James, the point of my original post was many are posting that they have put 8, 9 and even 12 packs together. I would say, if someone has the skills and ability put a 12 pack together, they are pretty darn good. Who are they?

If someone has the ability to put a 12 pack together, could you expect them to consistently put 3 packs together? So, in a set, say a race to 13, they could (not every time mind you) put maybe a couple of 3 packs or a 5 pack in the set? If they could do this they can play with Chip.

I don't make games for Chip and I don't back him, but I know he is always looking for a game. If someone posted in here that they have put a 8, 9, or greater package together, maybe they should come to OKC and play Chip. I don't know if he will play, but I know he has backers and always looking for a game. Chip is on face book, so communicate with him there. Let me know when you (plural) are coming to OKC to play Chip or Joey, and I'll buy dinner.

No, running 12 in a row just means that they got lucky and played the best pool of their life for 12 racks. It doesn't mean anything towards what they run consistently. And nobody except for the top top players in easy conditions put together multiple packages consistently in a medium length set (unless you are talking bar boxes).
