It's that time of year again.
With the last major pool event coming up, I'm thinking it will be decided there, as I see it as a toss up between Ralf, Shane and Darren. All three
have had a great season so far.
Imo Ralf is the frontrunner as of today, being the defending champion of all three Matchroom events, winning 3 Eurotours with 150+ players, winning the
SBE Pro Players championship as well as placing 2nd in the Philippine Open and the Masters 10-Ball.
Shane is close 2nd with wins at the DCC One Pocket, DCC Master of the Table, US Open 10-Ball, Seminole in RI, Steve Mizerak Championship and
runners up in DCC 9-Ball and The Guiness World Series.
Daz has won the DCC Straight Pool Challenge, Challenge of Champions, the Beassy 9-Ball as well as defending his title at the US Open, he also
consistently placed high in majors earning him 125k plus a guaranteed 10k at the Mosconi Cup.
Dennis Orcollo should also be included but I don't see him winning this award spending as much time in Asia.
One great thing at the Mosconi Cup, aside from it being the best entertainment in pool, is that all 3 players will get plenty of TV time
playing with the highest possible amount of pressure.

Nice post, and I agree with your assessment that Ralf is a slight favorite. I also think his back to back challenge match wins (played in Asia) over Ocullo and Biado in the last couple of months strengthen his 2011 resume.

Still, you couldn't argue much if Appleton, Van Boening, or Orcullo got the nod.

guess i dont need to watch the rest of the pool on espn today since you just posted who won.:(:)
