Modified Lathe Router mounts for sale fits Porper C and B Lathes

A few years ago I purchased a Porper B Lathe and I love the machine. However, like with anything some simple modifications can in many cases make our work a little easier.

One of the problems I encountered was the opening on the front of my router mount. At times it was very difficult to turn squares of wood round do to the size of the opening on the standard mount. So I contacted a good friend of mine who is a Master Machinist and discussed the possibility of taking my standard mount and opening up the front to accommodate larger squares. However, his concern was that by doing so it would decrease the structural integrity of the piece so he redesigned and made me a new router mount for my Lathe

In the process he also built some addition pieces that I can offer for sale.

If anyone has an interest I am asking $150 ea shipped in the USA first come first served, I currently have 7 additional mounts on hand.

Price reduced to $100 ea shipped in the USA

The larger of the two mounts, the mount on the left is what I am offering for sale, the mount on the right is the original mount that came with this lathe new. I am uncertain if this mount will fit other machines or only these lathes.

Update:

This router mount will fit the B and C model lathes made by Porper not the A model:

Thanks Craig

It looks nice. You might want to post which model router it will fit for those who don't already have the router. Also it is only the B and C model lathes that will fit on. The A model did not have a carriage cross-slide. It did all cutting with the tailstock. The C model had the carriage, but no taper bars if memory serves me right.

Thanks very much for the information, I will make the correction.

Thanks Again
