Value is a Burton Spain cue???

I thought I would throw this out to here on AZ to see what the value is of a Burton Spain cue made for a buddy of mine. Burton made the cue for him back in the day and put my buddy's name on it. It is a very nice 4 pointed cue with veneers (can't remember how many) and with just about everything they did to a fancy cue back then.

I realize this is not much info but wondered what the value may be from what I have provided...thanks!!

Here's a link to Joel Hercek, his student, and the one who took over the
business. Burton Spain was a Mensa member and a pioneer in cue making.
Burton died too soon, a great loss to the pool world.
The 'plain janes' sell in the $1,500 to $2,500 range.

Pics would definitely help, and I would say get a serious expert appraisal on such a cue. Even plain janes can be surprising in value if they have some historic significance. On Spain cues you are generally talking a couple grand and up, perhaps as low as 1500 as was stated above.

For sure it's a gem, anything by Spain is.
