Putting aside all the drama, the point is Glen should have quoted the price he needed to do the job in a reasonable amount of time, this being said I would not have purchased the table and would have continued my search and found one closer at a price I could afford and would not be in the mess I`am in now with this table.I understand how Glen works to keep the prices down and thats by squedualling jobs in a route close together.I offered to dig a little deeper as I didn`t celebrate the Holidays this year. The original deal was 500 for pick-up and drop-off in Massena NY,but after this long I would not go back there.I don`t know how this will turn out in the end,and truthfully I don`t even care.

Sure do....Making money and not robbing people. I show up on time and I don't make promises I can not keep. It is called be a good business person.

Robbing people???...hmmm...maybe I should post the pictures of the work you and your crew did on the Gold Crown 3's up in Syracuse for Shane, I saw the work done, THAT'S called robbing someone. If that's the kind of work you have to do to be called an "installer"...I'd quit and see about flipping burgers....or just stick with the tables coming out of China...they're more your speed. Think Shane will ever call you and your crew back again the next time he changes the cloth on his tables? Nice job of the rail cloth pulling out of the rails every where too, not to mention the wrinkles in the cloth right in front of the pockets....yeah, I really rob people...LOL...get some skills buddy.

I believe Diamond has one other table for me to take with me, going to PA, so I'll confirm that tomorrow with Aaron. If that be the case, I'll be leaving Thur/Fri heading your way. Have the rest of the money for this deal at the border when I get there, thank you. I'll give you a time as to when I'll be there and we can finish this deal.

Glen

If you are coming back down the east coast stop over to see me bud.

I might have some furniture to move back.

:p

p.s. not likely, the house still is not put together, but I can grill some mean steaks.

Like I stated the original deal was 500 picked up in Fishers and droped off in Massena NY,and that after so long that was void, also the deal was developed as we went along to include rails and extensions and install. So what is the deal and who decides? Also stop taking out what other members say to or about you on me..

First off..don't call me buddy..cause that we are not. As for Shane's room. There were unfortunate mistakes made. But I returned immediatly and corrected them. Robbing someone is leaving and never returning. Or taking money for a diamond smart table for Brian "Doctor98" and screwing him over like your doing Ian. It is no secret I do not like you Glen. Your a bully and you are not a man of your word. I was once one of your minnions but could only take so much B***hit. And for the record when we were done in Syracuse Shane's father who runs the place was very happy and said he would have us back. Mark must have forgot to tell you that. You can ask Jay because he was there. Funny thing is I could go flip burgers at McDonalds and make more money than you & your buddy do in a year. lol....now that is funny

I think you did a good job of this all by yourself and the post you edited.

If it was me I would be waiting for you to pickup the table south of the border too.

I would but I`am serving a house arrest for a small pot charge and the friend who was going to meet him months ago is now in SC. golfing and having fun.So if I can`t find anyone else, there will be no-one to meet Glen,But I do have the money to pay him and more if needed.I guess Glen might have to have Diamond ship it as he said before. He would than be free to go to Texas where he can make a bundle and it`s warm...

You know what, I paid Brian back the money he paid for the Diamond table, so he didn't lose a dime. You are the one along with your entourage are the ones that like to attack me first, so guess what...I bite back, don't like it...tuff shit. I'll stop in at Shane's place on the way up through NY and give you some....up to date pictures of the kind of work you guys did. As far as you guys ever doing the work on the tables there again....not unless it snows in hell first, I'll make sure of that:cool: You seem to fail to understand that I do this work because I love working on pool tables, like some people like to eat food, so it's NOT all about the money, it's my passion. Which is why I pick and choose who's tables I work on, and don't just work on anything that comes my way. It's also the same reason why I don't promote recovering pool tables in someone else's backyard....because when it comes to that type of work, there's always someone relying on the jobs that I could be doing, so I pass on the work. I don't play cut-throat with my prices just to get a job instead of someone else getting the work. My prices are just that...my prices. I've never screwed anyone out of any money, and I don't have to come back and fix things that "I" did wrong in the first place. Yes, I do sometimes come back and fix other things with pool tables that change from when I worked on the table(s) last, such as fine tuning the level of a pool table, when I'm in that area, or will be passing through there.

But, keep in mind Pat, I'm a REAL table mechanic, not just an installer...though I can do your job as well...when needed to, but you'll NEVER be able to do the kind of work I do....so keep on running your mouth, along with anyone else in your entourage.

Yes God I understand. :bow-down::bow-down::bow-down:

You wanted peoples opinion and comments, which is why you posted in this tread, well now you have them. I told you I thought we had this worked out...just like you said when you sent me that PM, but no...you still wanted to bring everyone else in on this...just like you did. So now, live with what you wanted, and here's my opinion and comments...find someone to meet me at the border....with the rest of the money owed...so I can give them your pool table, and they can bring it to you and you can find someone in your area to set it up. You pissed me off Ian, so now...live with it!

Pat, Im not in your game with Glen.....do you think for one minute that if Glen had any pics....they wouldn't have already been posted???
I have nothing against you...and yes I'm friends with Glen....as I've always been....(EVEN WHEN I WAS FRIENDS) with you, Booby, and John.
I wonder why ?????
Bobby texted me tonight and told me I threw him under the bus from Glens statements.........he also told me he has pics of my ^^%Ked up dado's I did on the (6) tables......I told him post them up.....I'll take the blame.....No problem.

You can't wait for someone to post bad about Glen so you can jump in.....WHY.....WHY would you even care?
Glen's just trying anything to get to you like you get to him.....trust me if he had any pics or any info on any jobs you have done.....you think the world wouldn't have known about it already?
I told you long ago....if I tell you i'm going to do something...I do it........I've done nothing to you nor Bobby, or John.

Funny how Bobby and you think I have........hummm....I wonder why???????????
I've done nothing but help you guy's......you guy's didn't like Glen when I was friends with him.....that never stopped our friendship.....Just as I'm friends with Glen and tell him the same shit I told you guy's....you don't have to like Bobby and Pat....I have no hard feelings with them.

Yes it stings that I showed Bobby and John so much about rails....and now don't even speak to them.....I truly do miss talking with Bobby.....but that someone turned him against me with lies????????
I don't want in your wars.....and you do make a ton more money than i do....I'm not up-set about that....hell, I hope you make tons more......I'll never pull against anyone making money.

Your X INSTALLER...POOL TABLE FIXER....MECHANIC....HACK....JERK....WITH EVER ONE YOU LIKE.....DON'T BOTHER ME......I'M NO ONE SPECIAL.....I WORK ON POOL TABLES.

GOOD LUCK

Hi Glen! Long time no speak. I hope all is well and your new year is off to a happy and healthy start!

I just wanted to chime in and say, I don't know what happened with the work done up in Syracuse but I can't be any more satisfied with the work that's been done at my Billiard Parlor in Jersey, Sandcastle Billiards.

Last you and I spoke, we had a great conversation on the phone and both display a great deep love for this game and its players. I'm glad you are as dedicated to building tables as I am dedicated to providing the best and most appropriate atmosphere for serious play.

I'm saddened by the fact that you and Pat aren't friendly any longer and wish all your talents could be used together to benefit the pool world as opposed to bicker in public forum. :nono:

Anyhow, I just have to say that ALL the work Pat and his crew EVER did at Sandcastle Billiards has always been top notch and appreciated by not only me and my hardcore regular players, but also over 20 of the WORLD'S top professional players that have recently played on my equipment maintained by Pat and his crew. I get compliments on the high grade quality and state of my tables all the time. Just ask any of those who played in Dragon Promotion's 14.1 World Tournament this past event. Tournament runner-up Mike Davis practiced on my equipment all week. It's no conicidence he performed so well at the World's.

As a matter of fact, I don't currently have a 3-cushion table set up in my room but two of my regulars and I just played some 3-cushion on the rebuilt extended rail tight box Medalist I have. I hit several 4 and 5 rail shots with persision. The table has 860HR cloth on it from over a year ago and it STILL plays great! It's normally used for one pocket play and is one of the most requested tables to be played on. All types of players come just to practice their favorite game on that table. Whether it be one-pocket, 9-ball or even 14.1 straight pool, they all love how it plays. Just imagine how much MORE they'll love it when it gets fresh 760 put on it next! Just in case you're wondering, yes, I won the 3-cushion race by the way. :D

Well, next month, yet ANOTHER icon in the pool industry and I will be working together and starting a joint venture to benefit pool on a whole with some live streaming events as Sandcastle Billiards houses a stage for challenge matches, tournaments and even game shows on your favorite...a Diamond 9' table. Perhaps YOU'RE the one doing the work on it!?!? That would be a funny coincidence. :D

All in all, the work done on my equipment by Pat and his crew is indeed superb and appreciated by all those who play on it. Do people slip and make mistakes on the job at times? Sure they do. As long as that is admitted and the issue is rectified, I see no harm done. I've never experienced anything but good coming from working with Pat and his crew and look forward to having them back in real soon for more work to be done as they have been MORE than fair in working with me at the MOST reasonable prices for the best work above and beyond my expectations.
Perhaps YOU and I will be able to meet soon so that you may demonstrate your same abilities on the Diamond that will be showcased at Sandcastle starting next month. ;)

Sincerely,
Sandman of Sandcastle Billiards

Glen, let`s just end the thread and no one will post again, and it will disappear.Have Diamond ship me the table, like you suggested,I will get a local mechanic to install it. I only posted in here because I thought that I was not being treated fairly as a paying customer.

Well hey there Ed, sounds like everything is going well for you at Sandcastle, I'm glad. You can thank Mark Gregory for taking the time to show Bobby how to rebuild and calibrate the rails on your tables, that's why your tables play so good:grin: I have no beef with Pat and his crew, just wish they'd pay attention to what they're doing, and stop worrying so much about what I'm doing, but oh well. I'm glad they did a great job for you and that their work turned out great as well. I do how ever feel they should do the same kind of work on any tables they work on...not just some. I'd never have said anything first, but I'm not the kind of person to let someone just take free shots at me, so like I told Pat...I do bite back. On another note, talk to me about that Diamond before you get it, I have some new rails coming out for the ProAms/Smart Tables that I know you'd be interested in knowing more about. I'll be back to work on the Diamond ProAm billiard table again right after DCC is over, then Diamond will be taking over table production while I start the sales process door to door. I've got the Diamond "Asian one pocket rails" coming out too, with only the two foot corner pockets, no sides or head pockets at all. They'll be interchangeable on any ProAm or Smart Table in just a matter of minutes.;)

Mark I sent you a text to keep it off the forum as I have done with all of our business. I always treated you as my friend. Honest and up front. No one swayed me with "LIES" your own words gave you away. You lied to me and stabbed me in the back. I only spoke of certain details with you and it came back around to me. A ton of things were said. I simply walked away without an argument. You taught me a lot, as I know you learned from my talents. You are without a doubt the best mechanic I have met. As for Glenn: Yes Ed could thank Mark for teaching me this system. Ed will tell you that I gave Mark props when ever possible. However I showed up with my tools Pat O' and crew. We actually did the work. The result is from our hands. I do not forget where I am from, or who helped me get there. Yes Mark has helped me in many ways. Pat O' has helped me in more ways than anyone. You seem to be fond of calling him in installer. Had you ever shown up in Pa like you promised 400 times you would know he's more than that. Your half right Glenn: Pat's an installer, a dam good one. Any cloth, any set-up on almost any pool table. You might think we turn and burn these tables. We don't! We just don't pool up, move in for three to five days and leak oil in the driveway, [sorry for the lack of effort] After all the first thing I learned from you in Chicago was to be a day late.

As for the pic's of Shane's room. I feel that you should post them. I will then post the pic's of the Diamonds installed in that same room. They all developed the same problems on the rails and around the pocket. I have photos. Having said that, I think any one could learn from the pic's. I sure did. That job and its mistake are on me and me alone. I was first asked to do the sub-rail work on 12 tables. I know my place and limitations. I GLADLY passed this work on to Mark Gregory. His rails play perfect. These rails are know different. The first half dozen rails had a dado problem. No fault of Marks. The rails were twisted, hard to work with. The problem was fixed on the second set. Mark AND I added a step in the sub-rail process. Having said that. The dados were more than we were pre-paired for. Many feather-strips were high and loose in spots. I made the feather strips. Many of the dados were thick than thin in spots. Not bad but it doesn't take much. The cloth work required a change to the stretch index. I was not experienced enough to make the adjustment. This job from the start had problems. I was asked to set up a Gabriel billiard table. I declined, I have never set up a billiard table. The room owner insisted I perform this service. I struggled for 7 hours to level this table. After 7 hours I discover a bent steel frame. The point! I was not paying attention to the crew. Had my attentions been on the Gold crowns I would have caught the dado problem early. I would have called Mark or Glenn for some help. As luck would have it Jay Spielburg showed up to fix the Gabriel frame and finish the set up. He also helped with the stretch index change. As for the threat to show the pictures, by all means do it. I am proud of all my efforts. I stand by my work.
I then called the owner to see what could be done. The next day I flew to Georgia to help Mark with the second half dozen rails. I gave up $300 for a plane ticket and a weeks income to do this [average $ 1800 a week]. I returned home and drove to 4 hours to the room and made all necessary repairs. The point is WE WENT BACK. On our companies dime. I made my best effort. Some jobs have trips and problems. I always put my best foot forward. This is the first job I have screwed up. I have set-up 8 pool rooms from scratch. Its tough work on old tables. I was trying to push the envelope and employ new ideas. I have had much success employing my new skill set. This job tested my skills. I have learned from this experience.

Glenn I followed this post. You have your own problems. You are more than aware of your own living circumstances. You made a deal with Ian having knowledge of your logistical limitations. Your excuse is thin at best. Man up! Keep your word and be on time. Pat and I are not just taking pot shots at you. You have deceived me from the time I met you. You make promises and do not keep them. I don't even have to elaborate. Anyone from Diamond, your customers and other mechanics on this forum know this. Did I forget to mention Simonis? You are a poor leader. Show people respect. Be on time. Give other mechanics some credit WITHOUT mentioning your roll in teaching them. Humility is a good quality, try it on some time.

Seems this thread is all about Glen and his friends, and not so friends. It was started by Shakey, and it`s about us,the paying customers, without us there would be no you!Glen there is nothing wrong between us,everything is alright,I just want my table as the deal that we had developed.I`am not begging or asking for favours,I did pay you and have the balance waiting upon completion of the deal. This is what you do for a living, than do it and satisfy me like your other customers.I don`t personnelly know you and have nothing against you.You say your pissed, well I`am the one that should be,but I`am not,and I`am the one who is out 2,500 !Plus the health issue`s that this has caused me to develop.

Bobby, I gave you that job in Syracuse in the first place if you'll just remember, same as I refered you to Ed at Sandcastle Billiards. I also told you exactly what was wrong with the Gabriels billiard table the minute you called me about not being able to level it, and exactly how it got damaged....and I hadn't even seen the table. My mistake, was in not doing the job myself, then none of this shit would have ever came up. All this fighting and arguing back and forth, attacking me personally, and all the BS being said....is nothing but BS. I've passed a lot of work to you guys up there in your area...and this is the kind of respect I get from you guys???....screw you and your buddies, I'll never lift a finger for any of you guys again.

I had nothing to do with the Diamond tables going into that room what-so-ever...yet you want to point a finger at me as to how the cloth was installed on them:grin:...come on, can't you do better than that? As far as my camping out...in my truck...for 2-3 days at a time while I work on a customers table???....at least I take the time needed to get the job done right the FIRST time. I don't know if you're just jealous of what I do....or feel that I should do my work as fast as you guys do yours, in either case....what difference does it make to YOU and your buddies how long I spend at a customers home...or at a pool room...working? I'll say this for sure, my customers KNOW they're the most important customer to me while I'm there working....because I'm NOT in a rush to finish working on their table....so I can get to the NEXT JOB on my list...for the day! I DON"T go around setting up tables built in China for a living all day long, wondering if I can fit in 3-5 setups in a day...because I'll make a lot more money, but I understand...it's a job, and someone has to do it. But my job is being a real table mechanic, and that means I FIX pool tables that people ALREADY own to play like, or better than a new pool table....because see, my customers are not INTERESTED in pool tables built in China, they like what they already have...and just want someone who really cares...to come in and take the time...to fix up their pool table the right way...and not just install new cushions & cloth on it and call it done!!!!!

I've rebuilt rails standing in a ditch out in front of a customers home, because that was all the room I had to work with. I've built brand new rails for a pool table...on the street sidewalk in front of a customers home. I've rebuilt rails in -20 degree tempratures, as well as +110 degrees standing in the sun all day. I've worked out side rebuilding rails when it's snowing outside....because I god damn care...about what I do, and MY customers!!!!!!!! Now, f@#k off, to YOU and your buddies!!!
