Once again guys the Fury 14.1 Challenge and Valley Forge are almost upon us. I wanted to get in touch to let everyone know what the current status is of the event as a bunch of people have been asking if the event will be going on this year. The answer to that question is a resounding yes. Thanks to our incredible sponsors the event will be going on once again.

We are looking for all of your support once again to make this incredible event happen as well if you all would be interested in helping out once again. We have some new ideas and will be raffling off cues each night to fans instead of doing the raffles solely at the end of the event that way our spectators get to take their prize home that night!! After speaking to Steve he brought up this incredible idea and I thought it was fantastic.

I have spoken with our sponsors and literally all of them are back on board and then some. I will have the final list in a few days of who they will be as I am still waiting to hear back from some and I do not want to leave any out.

We will still have the same format as last year with the amateur and pro sides as well as an added women's side. More and more women are playing the game of straight pool and we would like to continue the trend.

In the next few days I will be posting up a list once again if anyone is interested in donating to the event to help keep it going as well as posting up new info as it comes to me.

I want to say on behalf of Steve Kurtz and myself we are extremely excited to be doing the event for a 3rd year in a row and providing people with a great opportunity to play and see some top tier 14.1.

Thanks so much.

Sincerely,
Charles Eames

I'm onboard, Charlie, as always, through thick or thin. It's a little thin right now, but I'm getting my donation funds together and will post to you soon!

Looking forward,
-Sean

P.S. to krupa: the dates are listed here: http://superbilliardsexpo.com/

I'm new around here. When and where is it?

Thanks

Hey Matt,

Like Sean said you can find the info about the venue at http://superbilliardsexpo.com/. let me take a minute to tell you all about the event.

This being our 3rd annual 14.1 challenge we are even more excited, the way the challenge works is that. for $25 a pllayer first gets a rack of balls to practice. then once his/her practice rack is over they are given the opportunity to setup there own break shot and run as many balls as they can. once you miss that is an inning. the player is given 5 innings and we add up all 5 of the innings to make your total score.

the top 8 scores go into a single elimination tournament, as well as we pay the top 2 amateur players prize money. and this year we are paying the top female player.

This year each day we will be having cue raffles, instead of waiting til the last day. which should promote alot of activity as always towards are fantastic cues that our sponsors provide to us.

Come on by....I can guarantee you wont wanna leave !!!

For the 4 days the event runs, we are crazy busy. Pretty much around the clock, and i can guarantee that you are gonna see some top flight straight pool by players of yesterday and today...I still cant get over some of the great players that we have gotten the 2 previous years.

Hope to see you there, and thanks to you all who have made this all possible !

Thanks. I didn't see anything on the site specifically about the 14.1 Challenge. I assume it's also going on for the whole 4 days? I may be able to make it down for the weekend.

I'm In - For Sure

Charlie/Steve,

Can't thank you enough for going through what you go through to put this on each year. It's a huge sacrifice, I know. I wanted to help so badly last year, but circumstances unfortunately wouldn't allow it as you know. This year I look forward to spending the whole 4 days helping out wherever needed.

My favorite moment last year was when Mr. Appleton was on one table and Mr. Immonen was on the other at the same time - giving you the opportunity to announce that two US Open 9 Ball champions were competing side by side. Great moment for The Challenge!!!

Can't wait to see you guys again!

Bump

Let's get behind Heather, Steve, and Charles and make this even bigger and better than the past two years!

Raffle

I would like to raffle a few more cues for the cause, however last year my paypal account was shut down for this specific reason.

If anyone has any other ideas on how I can raffle off a few cues to donate the money to the 14.1 Challenge without paypal, I am all ears.

After speaking with JR at the World 14.1 the answer is yes we will be working together once again and in truth after the stellar job Inside pool did there I couldn't be happier.

Ok guys some good news came today from Mr. Hopkins himself as he is once again generously donating an extra booth to the cause at no charge for our event. I have to say I am really happy that this came about today as I could definitely use the good news for the event.

Jacoby Custom Cues is onboard once again !!!

Once again Jacoby Cues has donated a cue to the 14.1 Challenge for the 3rd time now. this time they were generous enough to give us this beautiful cue valued at $750.00

Fury is donating a cue to give away to someone who donates to the 14.1 event. Here is a link to more information -

http://www.cuesight.com/fury141challenge.html

The first cue will be given away once the first 50 donations are received, giving someone at least a 1in 50 chance of winning the cue. You can also enter as many times as you like.

Ok guys I have also just received word that at the minimum Pete Tonkin will be generously donating a $1500.00 cue. This will be his third year supporting us in this event and we can't thank him enough.

Hey Guys,

I just got off the phone with Stu Mattana and he is very generously donating $100 to the event..

Thanks Very Much Stu it means a lot to us !

Steve

Big thanks to our friend Stu Mattana !!! Also folks I have just received Andy Walker's check and a very nice note stating that he will be down there hanging out and he has graciously offered to donate some time to the booth as well if we need !! Things are definitely starting to pick up.
