Hey all,

Im in a bit of a pickle, I have a valley barbox (7ft) and noticed one of the rails was playing funky. I took it off and the wood was all messed up and rotted?? Long story short, I need a rail (not the ends but 1 of the long rails that hit the side pocket) I cant afford a whole new set, so if any one know wheres to get what need please let me know.

Thanks

Rail

What profile are the cushions? If your standing at the foot of the table racking the balls where is the rail located?
Is there a coin slot on the side of the table?

If Im racking its the first one on my left. Yes there is a coin slot.
Im not sure what you mean by "profile"

The left foot side rail is interchangeable with the left head side rail.

Over the years Valley changed the cushion profile they used. From 2000 to present they use K66. Prior to that it was K55 and prior to that it was U23. Remove the cloth from the rail and take a measurement of the top of the cushion rubber (back edge to nose) and someone can let you know what you need.

I doubt you have Ridgeback rails so you should be able to get 1 new rail from Fred at Penguin that will match up with your existing rails - unless someone just happens to have a decent rail laying around that will work and is willing to part with it.

Also,There are different bolt patterns on the side rails of a 7 ft table depending on how old the table is. Valley tables build before 1970 have an entirely different system. And others will require some modification to use the new rails from Valley. See "Installing Replacement Rails on Older Model Valley Tables" here: http://www.valley-dynamoparts.com/docs/SVC-CushionRailsInsert.pdf

Thanks for all the info, I did notice that there are 2 different brand rails when I re-covered them a while back. There were valley brand and penguin brand rails.
Does that help any?? Also the table I have is called a "County" edition ?? Thats what the Valley rep told me last year when I asked about it.

Penguin makes replacement rails for Valley as well as other coin table brands so having a mixed set on your table is possible. To get just 1 rail you would need to call them anyway at 866-772-3636. Talk to Fred and he will make sure you get the right rail for your table.

Will do, thanks for all the help guys

I have several k55 odds and ends....remove the ball view door, set door aside. top center of the inside of the ball view door cut out there is a seral number on the table.. If you find it let me know what it is. I should have what you need if there's penguin cushions present.... the image series of tables was a --country, a traditional and a contemporary.... The country had simulated rope molding and wild cougar on the side of the table on a plaque, saddle leather laminate. I really liked the down corners on those tables!! I would like to see a pic of your table

I have championship electric blue cloth on now, and yes I have Penguin and Valley rails on.

Rail

When you say valley rails do you mean championship fleetwood cushions? What is the measurement on top of the rail from the nose of the cushion to the back of the wood? 1 7/8th ?

Rail

I have one single rail or a whole set, both are used.... I will check on shipping to Canada
