Those makers would have been in my list of guesses, however i was curious as to how many cue builders here, on az, make their own blanks.
i've had a few of the bigger name makers tell me they buy them from others, because the work entailed to make their own would be so costly, time wise, that the sneaky with have to be priced beyond what anyone would be willing to pay.

I'd have to say that is generally true. When a person can buy an Ebony blank for about what it would cost in raw materials......

I can also tell you that at least one of the bigger name makers has very little interest in making a less expensive cue. When you are feeding a family and paying a mortgage, it makes a lot more sense to build sixty 2500-4000 cues than it does to build four hundred 400.00 cues

Right now, I'd just like to make sixty cues, regardless of price.

Hi,

Darrin Hill's full splice cues are world class in design engineering and his technique produces as close to perfect geometry as can be achieved IMO.

Many years of modifying his jigs and procedures.
