Who won amateur open SBE 2012?

Yes he is!!!! Opened a can of whip a$$ on me to get to Sunday. Played with the temperment of a new pro player. Made everything and made it look easy. Been trying to come up with a few excuses to tell my fellow players both in Rochester and Vegas how I lost to a twelve year old! Haven't thought of a good one yet!

Lyn
You were helping him build confidence?
He looked like he needed new shoes?
He is your cousin's son?

Since that bribe joke didn't go over to well yesterday, how about a different twist.

He is a kid from the Make a Wish foundation and all he wanted is to win the Open. That damned Lee Holt didn't go along with it.

Or how about, "he reminded me of my grandson" lol.

Its amazing that you have 979 players in the open amateur division and 1st place is only $5,000. just saying

This is in the entry form text:

Final payouts determined by total number of entrants. The final 64 players will all be paid. First place remains $5000 so that all other payouts can be increased.

So there you go, 1st is $5000 no matter what and other payouts are increased accordingly.

i understand what your saying, but thats not the point i was making. Your point is that it was disclosed on entry.

My point is that the payout for 1st is low for the amount of players, and while allan deserves to make money, i'd be willing to bet theres a huge difference in what was taken in, versus what was paid out.
I never have made it there to play, thats not the only reason really, but i really don't care for the payout structure. Its all good my friend.

Joey,

Also saw Gary Abood's name on the entry list for the Open. He's a Louisiana player now isn't he? Didn't get to play either of your local boys in the stupid seniors. Probably a good thing!

Lyn

Our local seniors came back with heads hanging. :D
Yes, Gary was/is living in Shreveport, LA from what I heard. Big tournament coming up this weekend. It will be livestreamed on www.poolactiontv.com maybe gary will show up.

And you would be wrong!!!! Allen had 979 entries at $50 each to the payouts. A quick multiplication equals $48,950. Add the payouts from first through sixty fourth and it equals $49,200! The $25 per entry registration fee allows the players FREE use of the tables from Wednesday evening through Sunday night. I know for sure I played way more than twenty five racks! Didn't add the remaining events but the Open is the most obvious.
