I like this pic of Grady. He gave it to me at an exhibition I helped sponsor in RI. If anyone has a favorite pic of the Professor they want to post, please add it to this thread. If you don't know how, just e-mail it to drawman623@aol.com and I will post it for you. RIP Grady

I cannnot tell a lie. It was moi. :p

It is a nice picture of both.

That is the great thing about a picture., it freezes a moment in time forever. They both look very happy there. Is there anything you would like to add regarding the taking of the picture?

That's Grady's beloved wife Randi. She traveled with him and showed such a wonderful devotion to Grady. She spoke with pride as Grady was asked to be the master of cerimonies at the 1 pocket hall of fame induction. She just loved to see people appreciate him. I always thought that selfless admiration was wonderful; Grady had found a very special person.

This particular day, Randi was at the Chesapeake Conference Center with Grady, but she was not dressed up in her "Sunday's best," as she put it. I was snapping pictures left and right, when I saw them sitting together in the bleachers on the rail. I asked if I could take their picture.

At first, Randi was hesitant because she would have rather had her makeup on and be dressed up in her formal clothes, but I assured her that she looked just fine. And she did. I also like Grady's expression on his face. The pink color of her blouse and the light blue color in Grady's shirt, it's perfect colors, brightening up the photo. I always liked this one best of the two of them.

Truth be told, I think women look better without makeup, even though women seem to feel the need to put it on before they go out in public. I used to be that way. Randi looks quite beautiful to my eye in this picture.

I like this one, I don't know who took it.

I love this picture, Randi had Grady's number from day one, Grady told me, she scared the heck out of him for liking some of the same things that he liked, It was hilarious, especially because Grady was not shy, not even a little. She could make him blush like no other. God Bless both of them.

Do you know how they met? Grady met Randi on a computer networking site. That's right. The two of them began communicating via the Internet and decided to meet, and the rest, as they say, is history. :smiling-heart:

Back in 2002 or 2003 (can't remember), Keith went to Las Vegas sans me to attend the BCA Open, even though he wasn't "invited" to compete in it. He wanted to be there, I guess, to absorb all the action. He and an unnamed close friend began to hang out together, and the two of them engaged in fine spirits and, I guess, all the other amenities that Las Vegas offers.

I won't go into details that will be revealed sometime later in Keith's book, but our relationship was in jeopardy. In fact, I was preparing myself for the worst. I hadn't heard from Keith for over a week. I went into a full-blown depression. It's probably the only time in my life I wasn't able to eat. My friends would come over and try to cheer me up, but my heart was so heavy. I really was head over heels in love, and I was hurting. I bought books on depression, healing one's heart, forgiving others, et cetera, but nothing helped me. I lost weight. I remember Diana Hoppe called me up and asked how I was doing, and I told her that Keith and I were through, finished. I couldn't watch TV, couldn't sleep. I was in a terrible state. :frown:

Randi and I used to yack on the phone, and she had called me a few times during Keith's hiatus. I let her know that I had not heard from Keith in over a week. Randi knew how much I was hurting, even though I tried to cover it up that I was moving on with my life. Behind the scenes, she got Grady to call Las Vegas. Grady knew *exactly* where to find Keith, which I always thought interesting, and he had a talk with him. It was that same day that Keith called me up. ;)

If Randi had not asked Grady to intervene by calling Keith, I'm not sure Keith and I would be together today. Keith had hooked up with some "old friends" when he was there and partied a la Stu Ungar. I won't elaborate but to say I hate Las Vegas today because of the distractions, temptations, and other things that lure people in to do despicable things and let go of not only their priorities in life but do things that are harmful to them personally -- physically, emotionally, and financially sometimes. If I never go there the rest of my life, that's fine by me. :p

I have told Grady and Randi both several times how much I appreciate Grady's intervention. He's a good man who recognized that maybe, just maybe, Keith's and my relationship was worth saving. And he did save it.
