For a cut shot, my aiming process start with where I want to put the OB. For me, most time than not, that's center pocket.
There was a period of time to where I was always missing certain cut shots to the left of the pocket opening. The common thinking would be that my aiming was off for rolling the CB over the aim spot.
Well, the thought that maybe I was hitting the aim point correctly, but instead was picking the wrong end point for the OB.
I starting paying attention to what I looked at last before going into shooting stance. I noticed that the OB was going to the last place I looked even though my goal was for center pocket.
I was looking to the left of the pocket last and not the center of the pocket. I changed this habit. I stopped missing to the left of the pocket.
The point is maybe your are hitting your aim point correctly, you just picked the wrong one.
