What's for sale in THIS thread?

There are generally two prices for pool cues. What the owner THINKS he can sell it for. Then there is the real price which is what someone is willing to pay.

I am not asking about the different prices for pool cues which you so generously enlightened me on.

I am asking if anyone else is having trouble selling their cue.

but thanks for the awesome reply ;)

Yes. Mine was on ebay no reserve and closed for ivory and so I listed on here, got nothing but lowballs and trades with a little cash offers. Lots of suspicions about who's selling what where and why they're not selling here and getting deleted on ebay. Fortunately, mine will only go up in value, regardless of individual opinions of others.

It's a buyers market...

Be patient and someone will buy if the price is right.

You're welcome for the awesome reply.

I'm sure a lot of us (myself included) are sitting on cues they would normally be flipping if the market wasn't so soft. I'm amazed how little some cues are bringing as compared to 5 or 6 years ago...

I've had all kinds of trade offers but no cash offers... which means something entirely different than what your implying.

but next time just keep your shitty posts to your shitty old self. ;)

thanks for the comment. we sure could use more people like you on this forum. :groucho:

A few things...

1. He wasn't exactly lying, the cue doesn't suit most people's taste.

2. The condition of the cue leaves much to be desired as it needs to be refinished.

3. There is no shaft.

50% off the retail value of a production cue that's missing a shaft and needs to be refinished isn't really a good deal at all... even if the cue wasn't ugly.

Maybe you should read the rules first.

yes, if he had replied in a mannor like yours, then I would have agreed and he would of had a valid point, but just saying "your cue is ugly" is obviously going to get different reactions then if he had replied with a post like yours. i appreciate your input.

Man, the cue market is down right now. I mean it's very hard to sell something that is not a collectible or a shiny piece of ivory. The problem is not your cue the problem is money.
And also trolls...cause there are a lot around here...
I am in the same situation like you and there are more like us.

Chris (CMD), if nothing's for sale why are you posting? Why don't you mind your own business and let the mods decide if it is or not a WANTED/FOR SALE thread...Forum policemen are everywhere and there are a lot of respectable forums where they are considered trolls. Just my 2 cents...

not at all. what kind of reaction do you expect when you post "your cue is ugly"....... thinking before posting isn't required, but it is recommended.

this..........

The right cue always moves for the right money no matter what.

So you might not have the right cue or it is priced incorrectly

I'm a troll? That's a laugh.

I gave my opinion. He got all butt hurt. And now you're his savior? Good luck luck with that.

The truth is, if he has a desirable cue (which apparently that is not the case) it will sell without a problem. HOWEVER, there are several other Schon options.
