Hi, I'm on the Big Island of Hawaii and we have pretty much no pool supply's here.
I'm just wondering what is the minimum equipment I would need to purchase to get started doing tip replacement's and minimal shaft work?

Thanks, Randy

Randy, I think if you scroll down to a Post by Cue you will find a perfect lathe at a great price to do Tips, Ferrules and wraps.

Will you be doing this professionally or just your own and perhaps a few friends? If you'll be doing it professionally, there's quite a few cue repair lathes that are available in the $1000 plus or minus $200. If you just want to do your own, then a good start would be a shaft turner which is an electric drill and a cane tip. Do a search on this forum and there's quite a bit of info on this. That's a good low cost way to get started.
