outside the line

I'm constantly lining up outside of the line i see when in the upright position. It's a hassle to correct after i'm down in my practice stroke. I don't think its a foot position issue because it feels like a arm position problem.

Any pointers?

TIA

How well you transition from the standing position to the shooting position can make or break your alignment in your shooting position. Keep you eyes on the shot line as you transition.

I think the best way to not lose your shot line is to forget about it. Once you have the line sighted perfect while standing up, flip your eyes to the CB and forget about the OB/line/pocket. The only thing that matters is to not lose the 180deg view of the CB facing you. Call it edge-lock or whatever--- never lose sight of the exact right edge and left edge of the CB (meaning, if you eyes move a hair right, you lose the left edge initially visible).

When you lock into the CB and never lose sight of the visible 180deg, nothing else matters in transition but NOT losing it. If you never lose that exact sight, center ball is your shot solution once you address the CB.

I think being exact with not losing the CB face (edges) is far easier than being perfect in a physical motion while locking on a shot line. If you never lose the CB, your body will follow your eyes.... and that makes for a perfect transition.

try to post pictures of your stance so that instructors can get a better look and analyze your stance.

It's abolutely a foot position problem. You have to adjust the way you approach the shot. If you're too far to the right when you're down, then you have to adjust your approach to the left. You're probably approaching the shot with the center of your body which is a typical mistake made by unknowing amateurs.

What's up with the tasteless photo? Is that someone's elbow trying to imitate a woman's backside or is it really a woman's backside?
Either way, it's tasteless and inconsiderate of women like myself who post here and inappropriate for juniors who post here who have to see it.
