TAR 29: Orcollo vs Van Boening August 17-19

We have been waiting for this one and its finally going down. TAR 29 will feature Dennis Orcollo taking on Shane Van Boening in the new TAR All Around format. The match will take place at the TAR Studio in Las Vegas. All of the action will be available on Live Streaming Pay Per View and very limited seating is available to watch the match in the studio.

The match format is as follows:

Friday August 17: 8 Ball Race to 15
Saturday August 18: One Pocket Race to 7
Sunday August 19: 10 Ball Race to 25

Each days play will begin at 7 PM Eastern. Each days play will be looped on the PPV stream until 5 PM Eastern the following day.

Special thanks to Jay Helfert and Mark Griffin for helping to put this one together. I have wanted to see these two play a TAR match for the last five years. Now its going to happen and I can't wait. We hope all of you will join us for TAR 29.

Justin, thank you for looping the streams. I am stationed in korea and ever since you started doing that I have been able to enjoy TAR after work over here.

Amazing match up. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch this one either. Please, for the love of all that is holy, pretty please start making DVDs again.

I watched every match up for years and now that there is a semi regular schedule with the new payout format, I am working weekends and can't see any of it. The last thing I was able to watch was the US Open one pocket, and that seems like forever ago with all these match ups.

I will end where I started. Pretty please, with sugar on top. I want so badly to give you my money to watch these matches on DVD.

Either way, thanks for setting these up for those who are fortunate enough to watch them.

Justin Is it possible to but a ticket just for the last night? I get into Vegas On the 19th for the APA national championships.

I have some contacts about building a VOD on demand site and I will probably give the DVD thing one more shot and see if the actual demand is any better than I remember it. It could be, we'll just have to see I guess.

Justin, This should be a fantastic match-up between two great players. However, I'm not sure if I'll be able to see it though. I was wondering if you'll be running the 8-ball $10 looping PPV after it's over (similar to what you did for TAR 28)?

Also, I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on including 8-ball matches in the TAR all-around format? It's definitely my favorite game to watch so I hope you'll continue with this new TAR format.
 
Gonna be a good one.

I'd love to see the one pckt taken out and bank pool put in instead. Iunno bout other people but I found the 1pckt with Corey and John extremely boring and too long. Didn't Corey even admit to not enjoying the 1pckt match.

The response to the 8 Ball has been overwhelmingly positive so I am all for keeping it in the format. Personally I like it as well.
