just out of pure curiosity.... do any of you boar owners use an aftermarket shaft on your boar? and if you do how is the hit with it compared to the boar shaft?

In the future I plan on owning a boar (once im out of school and working) and just curious if anyone puts a low deflection shaft on these? I know it would seem kind of weird to put a 2 or 3 hundred dollar shaft on such an amazing cue from Tony but curious if anyone does?
 
Tony makes a low deflection shaft, they are standard with new BBs and available from Tony for other BBs only. They hit great!
 
He makes a ferrule-less shaft that hits great that people claim to be low deflection. My father has a boar and a ferrule-less shaft... all the times ive used it it doesnt seem low def to me... at least not like the OBI or the Pred shafts are low def.

I like the hit of the shaft though. I dont like like low def shafts for the most part.

I dont know if Tony makes a laminated shaft though.
 
Nope.

I have several.
I use whatever shafts that were made for each particular cue.
All regular wood shafts.

None of that "Ferrule-less/low deflection/lets drill a secret hole in there", crap.

I like solid wood.
No holes.
