Does anyone own anything by Anglin Cues? I'm currently in talks with him about my idea and he seems knowledgable but I always like to see a good review or two.

I don't know anything about them. But judging from some of the stuff on the web site, that may be the perfect artist/craftsman to take on the project.
By the way, I don't think that cue was wrapped with copper. I think it was actually round leather cord. At any rate, if you want that look, the round leather cord will get it for you.

I would say 0.5mm for a fine look or 1.0/1.5/2.0mm for that course look.

I was searching for a few hours for a maker whom would be up to the unusual build and finally googled "steampunk pool cue" on a whim and his site was one of the first on the list. Andrew is excited to take a shot at the project
Neat, we're kicking around some different wrap ideas. Right now I'm thinking maybe a copper wire inlay with thin leather patches laid over it so the "wrap" portion isn't a solid sheet but a broken pattern with visible wire underneath.By the way, I don't think that cue was wrapped with copper. Definitely, I have a longtime friend whom is a far better artist than I will ever be sketching out some ideas for me. I'll be posting them once he's done.
