Actually I am not that bright, but thanks anyway.
I beg to differ; I think most people think they are smarter than most people, I am pretty sure about this, even though I haven't done a poll.
Really.
Maybe I am convicted to hold a higher standard than most; if you would do the same both YOU AND I would make more money off of pool than we do today, the difference between us is that I can see that and you can't, you are too worried about that $20 or $50 sitting on the light above the table.
Too late, where were you 25yrs ago when I needed this advice?
Ok I didn't get the movie reference; sorry about that, looks like a good movie also, but I am far from some kind of tight assed, holier than thou, snob; I am not. I do feel strongly about those who are not straight up and "play little games" with you while you're shooting. Most of it I just find amusing like Tammy's little shark (that's the woman I mentioned it my earlier post). But occasionally some of this stuff gets under my skin.
My feeling is that if you want to win (we all do) practice, play competitively, join a forum like this, watch some instructional videos, read some books, video yourself and work on the problems you see; and when you feel you have taken your game up a notch slap a Jackson or 2 on the rail and see if you have. Don't try this "mind f___king" thing; your not fooling very many people, it is disrespectful to others and lots of people are calling you "a sharker", "poor sportsman" or worse behind your back whether you know it or not because anyone over 25 that has been around the pool hall for any more than a couple of years knows exactly what you're trying to do.
It also isn't just that you are hurting yourself and your own reputation as a person and as a player you are hurting the sport in general and that I am never going to "take lightly". My words may seem harsh but blood is not coming out of my eyes right now, I am not slamming the keyboard and I am not bolding, underlining, resizing words and coloring them. I assure you I am quite calm. This is just a subject I happen to feel strongly about because it is one of the little things that is "keeping pool down". I really am a happy, footloose and fancy free kind of guy.
