Cheaper than simonis

Looking for a quality cloth, close to simonis 860, but in a budget price range. Any answer is appreciated.

ProForm is a good quality worsted cloth at a lower price point than 860.

. I am not familiar with the cloth presented in the last posting, but the website states a 70/30 blend of worsted to nylon. That's an extremely high percentage of nylon for a quality billiard cloth. Should be about 9-17% nylon blend depending on the manufacturer. I'm not gonna go into the reasons nylon is neccessary or what it does to the cloth, but 30% is like playing on a sheet of 1/3 ripstop nylon. It may imitate the speed of Simonis as a result, but it is not equivalent to playing on Simonis.

Simonis actually makes a 70/30 blend ....it's called Simonis 760.....

that said Simonis is a wonderful product and is by far worth the extra money. their attention to detail and perfection is why you pay extra. but the reality is that you are getting a superior product at a great value.

It depends on how much cheaper you want it to be, and how close to Simonis you want it to be. Simonis 860hr seems to be '71-29', wool to nylon which results in a more durable cloth than regular 860. Championship Tour Edition is 70-30, and very durable. It stretches alot, and really doesn't play alot like Simonis, IMO, though it is fast and durable. That "Proform' sounds like the stuff for something significantly cheaper than Simonis. For a very nice cloth that is somewhat cheaper than Simonis you should consider Granito Basalt. I have both 860hr, and Granito Basalt in the pool room, and they both play great.

That's the problem with this forum. There are many cloth brands/styles on the market that most people never heard of
or have first hand knowledge of. Don't knock what you don't know.
