Predator Z2 buzzing Question.

I have a viking cue with a Z2 shaft that makes a buzzing sound when you hit with it or tap it on the table. I though it was a loose tip, so I had a local cuemaker (Eddie Anderson) put a tip on it and he said the ferrule is fine, not sure what it is but something sounds "loose" inside.
The buzz does not affect play at all but it is driving me nuts. So, has anyone had this happen to their Z2? I don't want to waste shipping costs to send it back for warranty unless this is something that Predator will stand behind. It is not in the butt. You can tap just the shaft on the table and hear it.
 
I had that happen to one of my original 314. It drove me nuts. Predator told me to send it in, so I sent it to Predator and they found that a small piece of glue had broken off inside the hollow portion of the shaft. Predator fixed it as a warranty repair.
 
One of the 10 piece spices have delaminated a tiny bit.It might be real hard to see but I've seen it before.

I believe that this is the correct diagnosis and the correct cure.
 
If its a loose piece of glue rattling around,put it by your ear and shake it.You should be able to hear it inside,if not I still say its a delaminating splice.
 
Something that happens quite often is that the joint faces get dirty and worn. They can slip against each other when the cue shakes side to side.

So, if it only does it when you lightly drop it on the table, or when you bump the side of the joint with the butt of your hand, then have a cue smith clean up the faces of the joint before you send it in.

The buzz that you hear is quite likely as 'Celophanewrap' described, a small piece of debris rattling around in the hollow.
It's not real common but it does happen. It's a high-flex area that also sees various degrees of impact.
This condition is covered under your warranty. There are many Predator Repair Stations around the country.
I happen to know of a really good one.
