On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

I'm telling you for sure........

Excellent video. Thanks for sharing it.

Gene, if there is an upside to any of this; with your health issues beating you down, it is likely you will go for less than $50 in the Calcutta at White Diamonds.

Just when I thought I had this smoke problem solved by playing in it alot I play in a place that is just mega smoke with 100+ players there.

What's really rediculous is when there is only one chair for you and your opponent to sit at and he lights up a cig. Takes on puff and then leaves it sitting in the ashtray right next to you going in your face while he takes his turn at the table. If he was sitting there and the smoke was going in his face he would surely move it?

One match I had a spectator was sitting on the bench that me and my opponent were sitting on. He was smoking. My opponent was smoking and the player on the next table was smoking. It was like a comedy skit from Saturday Night Live. My only option here was to tell everyone to stop smoking or go stand at the other end of the table. I stood up the whole match. Had no choice.

The problem is my health overall has really taken a hit. The reason I can play in it at all is I just got used to feeling sick all the time from the smoke. I just got used to playing when feeling like crap all the time.

Like at Legends. My last opponent and my games had diminished terribly in our last match that started at 2:45AM. Got done at about 3:15AM. We both shot so bad it was rediculous.

I asked the guy running the charts when was the latest time possible to get there in the morning and his answer was you need to be here for the calcutta at noon. I told him I didn't care about no calcutta. I needed the sleep.

I got to the room and had trouble breathing even with my machine I use for sleep apnea. My chest just hurts and feels like I have a chest cold with a little tickle way down deep when the air goes in and out. Couldn't actually fall asleep until about 4:30.

I get to the poolroom at 12:30 and they are just getting the womens calcutta under way. I'm thinking how stupid is this for me to be there. This is going to take an hour. Then even more stupid is the second mens calcutta takes another hour.

Why did the guy tell me I had to be there at 12:00. I guess he wants all the players he can there to bid. For me this is real stupid again. i need my sleep. I'm not interested in the calcutta. With the smoke and being diabetic 8 hours of sleep is a must. 9 prefered.

Needless to say I just hung out not knowing how long things were going to take.

Then when they called the matches I was one of the 4 matches that didn't get to play right away. So I really didn't play until about 4:00.

I tried to hit some balls before my match and knew the outcome before it happened. I couldn't beat anyone. I might have just packed up my cue and went back to the room.

If a person can get some sleep your body can undo a little damage that is done by the smoke. In my case I also need to get enough sleep to undo the damage that diabetes does to your body everyday. For any diabetic you have to get enough sleep or you have trouble even functioning the next day. Everyones body repairs itself when they sleep and goes through a cleaning process.

I really don't know what the motive was for the guy running the charts to tell me that I had to be there that early but that ensured my tournament end for sure. I had no chance. Maybe it was to get one more maybe bidder there for the womens or mens second calcutta. I really don't know. But for me it was really bad and wrong information.

I will absolutely not waste a nickel on myself though, in any calcutta from now on. it's a waste of money for me. I could get plenty of sleep and still be all messed up just from the smoke.

I think I'm the only diabetic that is stupid enough to try and play in the smoke week after week. Who knows I might be getting a disguised death wish the way my body and health react to it.

Today the wheezing is better in my chest but the headache is still there. My right ear are ringing. That means ear infection and draining for the next few days.

I have some lessons lined up but I'm going to call and cancel them unless we can go where there is no smoke. I don't feel able to be in the smoke for even a few short hours.

Some day people in the USA are going to look back and say:

Do you believe that they used allow smoking at these pool tournament. Some times so bad you couldn't tell who was on the other side of the room.

Like right now it's hard to believe that they used to let people smoke in a restuarant. If you go to Mississippi. You can still enjoy your diner next to a person smoking a cig if your right next to the smoking area.

In a Waffle house that's only 25 feet long it's really ignorant. Smoking section and non smoking section. Your almost always right next to them.

Someday Mississippi will get it right.

And someday these states that still allow the smoking in the poolhalls will get it right also.

But in the meantime, what a tragedy for the poolplayers. It can be almost unbearable at times with so many people in such a small place.

I talk to the players and they all hate it.

If everyone hates it so much, incluing most of the smokers, why does it continue?

Your right. As simple as that.

I might be stopping back up in the DesMoines area sooner than I think.

breath some clean air..........

When you do, call me. I need just little tune up. Not much.

One of my teammates (you've given him a lesson) said I'm shooting the best pool he's ever seen me shoot. I can't tell so much myself, but my numbers are good so far this season in league.

Yeah baby!

St. Louis is on the way.

No smoking at Cue & Cushion - Overland, MO.

Man, really sorry to here about all the issues with smoking in pool halls.

Thanks

John

Right now it doesn't seem very possible.....

Iowa??? That the exact opposite direction from The US Open!!!!! Well almost anyway....

Hi there Chris,

Right now I have a terrible ear infection. I'm heading up towards Waco to do the new Perfect Aim video(Power Aiming) with Ray Hansen at the helm.

I'm also having alot of trouble breathing still. I just want to be in a non smoking state so I'm not tempted to play in a real smoky place. I'm really worried about what this has done to my health.

I really feel bad for all the players that have to deal with this in the south. It turns into more of an endurance match than a pool match towards the end. That's too bad.

I'll probably end up there if I can get out of this smoke and get healthy again.

I snuck up to Fast Eddies here in Houston and did a free seminar with the league they had tonight. I had to be real careful about bending over but over all it was a great success. I did 13 mini lessons. All home runs.

I even worked with one person like yourself. He was also a one eyed wonder. He was trying to shoot in the middle. I think he was a 4 in the APA. He won't be for long. He was firing balls in as he was laughing.

See ya soon someplace.

I don't go that far. Everyone is a lot of folks with a lot of different motivations, lives, etc.

I've yet to find anything that everyone benefits from. Even air.

One thing I've learned in marketing is that everyone doesn't exist. Only the one who is using a product or service has a chance of getting benefit from it. A chance, not for sure.

If there's one thing I would recommend to Gene (besides staying the hell out of smokey places) is to dump the term "Perfect" and the claim that "everyone" is helped. There's an old saying in marketing, "No promises, no problems."

Now, do a lot of Persons benefit from this? Hell yeah! Does Gene give a player enough free info upfront to know if s/he wants to do a full lesson? Yuup! So, the downside is almost nothing and the upside is big. But "everyone"....??

Not knocking it, just sayin'

Hi there Jeff,

Good point but I have seen how this works for players over and over and over.

Everyone is the same. Dominant eye and non dominant eye. Just some are stronger than others.

I can't even remember the last time I even struggled a little bit to show the player how this works. Once those eyes are in the right position it just clears things up for everyone. Kind of like the eye doctor when he says: does this look better or does this. Just like seeing those little letters on the wall, seeing the pool shot correctly is the same exact thing except it's positioning instead or clarity. But then again if the eyes are not looking where they need to look the eye doctor can fix that too, to a certain extent.

I've had players though that have drifted away from doing what Perfect Aim teaches but once they call me and we do a mini check lesson they find that they were skipping a step in the Perfect Aim routine. Once this is cleared up they are right back on track.

If you followed me around Mr jeff and watched the results over and over you would agree with me 100%.

The reason for this success with teaching this is it's just the way the eyes work. I'm just showing players how to get the eyes in that most correct position to envision the shot as good as humanly possible according to their own eye dominance. Showing them to work with what they got.

perfect Aim exposes a big flaw in our natural ability to keep the dominant eye in the correct position for all shots. As you know from our lesson that there are many shots that almost try to force the non dominant eye to work like the dominant one.

Correcting this flaw is so easy. But it does take a little knowledge and a few little tests along the way.

When a player sees what they should see each and every shot and they can consistently get there it is kind of eye opening.

The only time there is trouble is when some players that just buy the video don't give me a call for the free phone lesson. It makes it alot easier to understand with a little coaching. I send a letter telling each customer to call.

One reason for the new video is to add all the new techniques that I have learned over the past 2 years to make this easier than ever to understand and learn. Because once a player learns this they know how to find that Perfect Aim and correct their aim on shots that don't look quite right.

And Jeff you make a good point by the everyone claim but if I said this works for most players it would be an understatement. it does work for everyone.

And I can honestly say that every single lesson that I have given in the past year has been a home run with a very delighted customer.

Not just a home run but a Grand Slam.

Awhile back I did a review with 23 AZers. They were hand picked by myself. They were mostly players that said they didn't believe in aiming systems or were really having trouble with their games and didn't think anything would help.

All 23 players got the Free phone lesson and then were sent the DVD. The phone lesson was so successful that the players knew most of Perfect Aim without the DVD.

Out of the 23 there were 23 great reviews. The results and comments on the AZ thread are on my website for everyone to see.

After this I went on to give 852 free phone lessons to AZers that called.

I had alot of fun and helped alot of players improve their games.

The only downfall in some of these phone lessons is that it is really hard sometimes to pin down which eye is dominant. Conventional pointing and circle tests are incorrect about 25% of the time so it's hard to rely on them for a positive result. If the dominant eye is not correctly found the adjustment to try and envision the shots are as bad as it gets.

I have found that about 99% of the time when a player is struggling to see what's going on and is having trouble envisioning the shot it's that we are working with thinking the wrong eye is dominant.

Once this is cleared up the rest is a piece of cake.

I'm just flat out having fun teaching everywhere i go.

When I get back up to Big Dogs there in Des Moines I'll give you a call and maybe we can hit some balls together and do a little Perfect Aim review.

Yourself and Dick will get the first 2 DVDs. can't wait to get it done.

Filming starts in a few days. Don't know how long the whole process will take but if will be starting on a couple days in Waco, Texas.........

See ya soon Mr Jeff .

Thanks again geno......

smoke got the best of me again..........

Finally I'm going to have to say enough is enough.

Today i woke up and had to crawl to the bathroom. I got a terrible ear infection again. It happened about 3 months ago also when I was in Memphis.

I had surgery for meniers disease in 1986. I have trouble with if I get water in the ear. I use a heating pad to drain it once an infection starts. I had left my heating pad at the last motel I was at in New Iberia, La. Bought another one about 11:00 PM when I could actually walk without feeling like I was going to tip over.

The smoke from these packed tournaments is just too much for my ear problem. I sure hope it's better in the morning. I need to get up to Ray hansens area but I can't really drive the car like this. I drove to Walmart and it was pretty scary.

Can't play pool like this either. I was already getting this on Sunday when I went in to play my match. Couldn't make a ball warming up and things didn't change in my match.

Being diabetic I need to really take care of this or it could finish me off. Any infection is bad if your diabetic.

I think I've had enough of this smoke business. After we do the video I was going to go to White Diamonds for their big tourny. There's no sense if I can't play the second day after being in the terrible smoke.

It's too bad someone doesn't have enough sense to just say. OK Because we are having so many people here there will be no smoking.

the air quality has to be way over toxic limits during these tournaments/

Need to get to bed and rest some more. Can;t do anything else right now. Probably just have to stay here tomorrow also. Probably won't be able to drive.

just a big old nasty speed bump that I have to get over.

I understand that it is for those who want to be better players. My point, fwiw, is that not everyone wants to improve or change what they're doing, even though your methods could help them. That's all. Not a big disagreement, but that's why.

If you watch the video interview you did with me, you'll notice I didn't give you an enthusiastic "yes" when you asked me if this was for everyone. I used my, "It's for people who...." Now, you might better understand why I said it the way I did.

I can hardly wait for your return!

Thanks for responding,

Jeff

I really get a kick out of it when I do the seminars.

Some of the lower level players that don't seem to care if they play any better really get excited when they can actually see the shot correctly.

Like that young lady that I showed at Big Dogs. I think you were there. She got so excited. She was firing the ball right in.

When I do these seminars I do alot of 10 minute mini lessons. I might do only 4 personal lessons out of 20 mini lessons but the casual player really gets their eyes opened up when they learn how to really envision the shot correctly.

In New Iberia I did about 30 of these mini lessons. About half of these players couldn't wait to get back to me and tell me how well they were shooting. Being a handicap league I told them it is almost like cheating. One old gal said SSSHHHHHHHHH. Don't teach anyone else.......

Nut I agree with you, some players just don't seem to care if they get better, but once this aiming can of worms gets opened you never know what can happen.

Maybe another pool junkie like you and me that loves the game even more........

Like I've said before on these boards, the stuff you're doing is making the game more popular.....much more than most of the other attempts I've read about here.

Hello Geno,
I hope you will be OK, and soon! You are the man! You do a lot to help people with their pool game all the time. Thanks Geno.

Some magic happening in Waco Texas........

Most people, players or teachers don't even know what the main meat of Perfect aim is.Assuming doesn't get it. From the misleading description of Perfect Aim on Dr Daves site, or just the casual player seeing just one part and thinking that is all it is about.

One of my students in Minot, ND referred to Perfect Aim as the closest thing to pool in a box that he had ever seen. He's pretty close.

Because just like I said in the beginning, Perfect Aim is unlike anything out there. Nobody ever figured it out and might never have figured it out. I got lucky plus I'm just dog gone stubborn when I know I'm right.

With the results I see everyday I just need to keep on keepin on and teaching all the players I can. Teaching this to someone like Marcus is huge. What a fire he could start down here in Texas?

This new video will speed this up. it will be the rule of thumb for teaching players of all levels of play to aim as good as humanly possible.

If more players get playing better they are going to like the game better than ever before. That's what we need. more pool addicts like you and me to bring this game to levels never before seen.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a US Open where they had to bring in 12 more tables because they have over 300 entries. it could happen some day but we need to build the base from the ground up.

My hats off already to the many teachers, promoters and players out there all over the world that are already slaying the dragon trying to make this game more exciting and great.

Just think if everyone that is in the pool world decided to do something special for pool all at the same time in the same month. I'm not saying this is the answer but it sure won't hurt.

What an image lifter for the game we love.

Can you imagine the noise it would make around the world when they have a tournament at your poolhall and there are 280 players sign up.

We could all make it happen. This would be a start.....

Just one month where everyone that can hold a cue gets there. it might even be a little fun.

I can see it all now. Everyone in the world looking and saying. Wow look what's going on in the US of A.

This is how pool could grow and we could all make it happen..........

One man, a van and the road.........

I hear ya. I was actually talking about Gene's COMPLETE lesson of Perfect Aim.

I have never seen one person who didn't improve their pool game after taking the complete lesson. Most of them have their mouth open in amazement.

When I think back about all of the lessons I have taken, even the mediocre lessons added some value to my pool game.

Finally starting to feel human kinda.....

I ended up with killer ear infection in Houston. Just too much smoke at these darn tournaments.

I had to pull over on I45 as I was leaving Houston because everything went double with my vision. I have a chronic ear problem ever since I had surgery back in 1986 for minears disease. If I get water in my ear I get infection also.

Today I'm not dizzy but still sick to my stomach. it's not much fun.

The bad part is that I don't have the energy to even give lessons let alone play in a tournament. I'm going to have to get to a non smoking state for sure. Or there might not be anymore gene or Perfect aim.

Ray Hansen and myself worked on the video friday. We'll be working on it again Sunday, Monday, tuesday and Wed. Hopefully we can get it done.

I went to the local poolhall here in Waco. Clicks. I was there for 2 hours. After I left i couldn't wait to get a shower and get rid of the stink.

Can't wait to get this video done though. This is going to be the complete picture. Once this is out there won't be anyone that will doubt how huge this is.

If there is someone close to Waco that wants to learn Perfect Aim while I'm here give me a call.

715-563-8712 Talk to you soon. Geno.......

Cameron Tx will be the Birth place of Power AIMING With Perfect Aim

Finally we've got the outlining done for the video and the actual shooting will start tomorrow. I'm still pretty sick with this ear infection. I should have gotten some antibiotics but it will probably be gone in about 5 more days. been through this before.

I just hope it doesn't effect my presentation. But this is the only time Big Truck has open to do this. We've been trying to get it done for about 2 months and something always seemed to come up.

I showed Ray the whole lesson tonight. he never saw it before. it answered some questions for sure.

Rays got some great ideas. Glad to have him on board.

Got to get to sleep. long day tomorrow.

One man, a van and the road.......

Got the video shot now the editing.........

Well, Ray Hansen is a trouper. We slugged it out shooting all the scenes from Power aiming With Perfect Aim.Finally it's done.

Now the editing. Don't know How long this will take.

I'm in cameron Tx right now trying to figure out the best place to head to today. Ear infection has cleared up and ready to travel and teach again. I can actually see clear enough to shoot again.

I'm thinking about going to Dallas and maybe New Orleans. Need to figure it out in a hurry. Checking out of this room in about 45 minutes.
