I came up here to Dallas to rest up and get rid of a nasty ear infection and was delighted to find this tourny.

Hawleys was one of the poolhalls in Dallas I was checking out. They really have a home type of atmosphere.

The tourny is down to 8 on the winners side. it starts again at 1:00 Sunday. I like that instead of having to come back at 10:00 and not get enough rest.

Tomorrow should be interesting. there are some good players here and the tables play kind of tough. Different speeds and a few rolls. But that is the same everywhere.

They got a gal running the tourny. She's doing a great job. I forgot her name.

Set up 7 Perfect Aim lessons here also.

What a great weekend.

A pool tourny, Sunday night Packer/Texans game.

the only way it could be better is if I can snap this off.

And it's a no smoking poolhall. :rolleyes::cool:

Some that are beating the smoking ban for now.....

All the Dallas poolrooms are smoke free. ;)

The biliiards den has made it a club so they can alow smoking. You have to give tnem your ID and be recorded in the system as a club member or you can't be in there. The owner told me it is a $1500 fine if they find a non member in there with the smoking.

Wizards is smoking. I think they are in a suburb. The actual city passed their own smoking ban but the surrounding areas can still have smoking. I might be wrong on this butthat's what it appears.

Thank goodness for non smoking poolhalls or I would have to take a break from pool for awhile.

I might get the shakes or something from withdrawals. :rotflmao1:

Can you imagine how much money a club can make if they disallowed smoking? Today's youth are not stupid, they know what cigarettes do to you. Look at the bright side. Smokers are going to die sooner than non-smokers, so we're not looking at a long turnaround...
