Not sure.
Actually, when I started I didn't think I would get past the 3rd one, and there were some people rooting against me who didn't think I would get even one out.
As far as how many, I have no plans to quit. There are a lot of stories that have to be tied up and also many new ones that I want to get to. The toughest thing is getting everyone together. So I will go on as I have been, hopefully I won't have to quit in the near future.
Those stories are still in play, but scheduling problems sometimes keeps them out of the episodes a little too long.
As far as the guy that was killed, it's usually me. And I don't impact the running story line.

I also have been watching since the first release, and I like that the show has settled down on a few story points - the first few episodes were just random story starters - and nothing has happened there in a while ... like the guy trying to hustle the pro girl to get into a big money game? What ever happened there?
The actors are getting a little better - but I'd still suggest cutting out the gaps in the conversation in post-editing. There's too much wait time in the responses back and forth - it's not representative of the rhythm of how people talk.

Actually that IS how people talk..pauses, you knows, uhs, all of it...it's just TV and movies that eliminate it.
Maybe this is why I'm enjoying the series...it's lack of "polish"? I dunno, but keep 'em coming, Jim.

I agree it kills the rhythm of the show. Jennifer is kinda bad about over-acting too but I'm sure i will get slammed for mentioning it.

To tell you the truth, I have been struggling with this for a while also. Every time I want to do the quick editing to copy many TV series, I always get pushed back into the way I see everyone actually talk. I went to a shrink once, where I sat there for 15 minutes without saying anything. I could imagine that on tape. The fact is, I am obviously not a standard, but it is how it feels right for me.
I would respond that there are many movies that use this slower feel. I understand that I am dealing with a much shorter time span, but I do think that trying to get the right feel is more important for me. I think that maybe the frustration that you may feel while listening to the show is actually how the character is feeling at the time. It may not always come off right, but it is a work in progress.

Maybe the people 'round here are the exception, when I'm having a conversation, there isn't much a pause in the back'n'forth. Sometimes, of course, there's that "formulation" period - but certainly not in everyday conversations.
But, whatever. for me, personally, it's distracting, and most of the people I show the series to as well. Not enough to stop me from watching it, of course, just enough to stay on my radar of "wish this would get fixed".
I'm a big fan of the show and will always watch. I found it kind of ironic that while the guy was lamenting over how no one was interested in watching pool, the three most boring shots I've seen on the show were mixed in there. The first one being a failed safety that never had a chance.
