In the history of pool, who would you nominate to be in the Pool Suckers Hall of Fame?

Think about it and get back to me!

I hear Charlie Williams is a big time favorite.

Personally I'd go with unknown locals.

Would that guy that caught stealing cues from a booth at a trade show -- with one of the most comprehensive security camera installations in place (including a sign in the booth that said "smile, you're on camera") qualify?

There was a thread on here recently that showed him -- with "Dunlop" syndrome (belly "done lopping" over the belt) -- with his hands behind his back getting cuffed.

A candidate?

That guy for sure, if it were the Hall of Shame.Candidate number two..the fellow who releaved him self on the table..as far as sucker..know a few local players,I think most on here do. I personaly don't know many pro's..An I wouldn't throw their names out.
I know a few master players that would fit the bill too.A few years ago I probably would have been on top of the leader board..lol

Who would you nominate Jenny?

Harry Platis comes to mind but he is legendary pool gambler and may not quite fit the "sucker" profile.Certainly I have a ton of repect for Harry but back in the day he may have been a big fish?

How about

"Flyboy". I heard of him making several big dollar bets that didn't work out?

10/1 its me ;) of course i just started playing last week. Really don.t know how this game works yet..... looking for someone to show me for 100.00

That's a good one for sure. I like that one. He is a sucker to think he could have gotten away with that heist -- on camera, no less.

There is no doubt Jam, "Archie the Greek" Karas, is the all time winner of the 'Gambling Sucker's HOF'....2nd place, would be tens of millions behind him !...

PS..He even dabbled at pool a little..

Oh, you're so right. That is a good one! He bet it high as the Georgia Pines, had it all at one point, and then lost every penny. Wow!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Archie Karas (born Anargyros Karabourniotis[1] in 1950) is a Greek-American gambler, high roller, poker player, and pool shark famous for the largest and longest documented winning streak in gambling history simply known as The Run when he turned $50 in December 1992 into over $40 million by the beginning of 1995, only to lose it all later that year. He is considered by many to have been the greatest gambler of all time and has often been compared to Nick the Greek, another high stakes gambler.[2][3] Karas himself claims to have gambled with more money than anyone else in history.[4]

Isn't there a Casino that should be nominated?
You may be right sir. But I would hardly call Jack Binion a 'sucker'..He, and the other casino's that lost the most money to Archy, survived it quite well..They are all still multi-multi milionaire's, while Archy is running out of stakehorse's, that are hoping for a repeat..Good luck with that...He had a ball while 'the run' lasted though, didn't he ? No other human could possibly have parleyed it, the way he did..
