Brumback

If anybody thinks that $49.95 for Brumback's DVD is unreasonable then I would classify them as a nit. The knowledge you gain from the DVD is priceless and you'll have it for the rest of your life.

Brumback says anybody in the world has a ball playing long rack bank

When did he tell you that? I have never heard John spout off, he is pretty humble in many ways.

I'm just curious...not a banker...
...that one ball....is that 8/7 or 9/8?

Offering a ball would indicate 8/7 but I doubt it is viable. He would have to beat whoever by keeping them on 6 and below.

i highly doubt it's 8/7

You are probably right Mike.

Agree with you sir. I think it would be great if AZ could get something for it's massive population of nits. They will not bet, know so much yet never leave the comfort of the keyboard.

Not necessarily true.
Each time this DVD changes hands, the price goes down. Say I buy it for the full price, use it, then sell it to my ex-brother-in-law for twenty-four dollars. He uses it for awhile, and sells it to a friend for twelve dollars. The friend doesn't even have a DVD player and sells it to the bartender at the local pool room for six bucks.
If this trend continues the afore mentioned DVD won't be worth two cents.
I'm glad we got that cleared up.

I was fortunate enough to win two contests on AZ, one for the Legends Set and the other for Brumbeck's Banking DVD. I can assure you that had I any idea of the knowledge on John's DVD I would have been more than willing to pay the price. It's stuff you just can't get any other way if you don't have access to the man himself. Cheap at the price!

wasnt shannon murphy on az this week saying he would play brumback long rack with a ball?

I think Thaiger likes playing 'devil's advocate'....and it's not such a bad thing.
..he would be charmed by John in person, as everybody who has met him is.
..and Thaiger, here's a taste....

pt..<..likes diverse opinions

I like divergence of opinion as well. It can make a person consider new options, encourages critical thinking, and is vital to our democracy. The problem is in his delivery. His personality is about as pleasing as applying a belt sander to one's scrotum for about five minutes.

and in the spirit of embracing divergent points of view, who are you to say the example you mentioned (highlited above) is not pleasurable? :grin-square:

I am sorry, but I am unable to comment on your personality. Who are you again?

I watched Shannon Murphy recently in Indy at a small tournament won by John. Fantastic player, I didn't hang around for the finish but I believe he was in the Championship with John and has won several other recent tournaments in the general area. John would have a challenge giving him a ball for sure.
