bump

less than three weeks away folks Who's going Christmas shopping after the tournament with the 1st place prize money?

Here we go folks

...One week away. I would like some chime in here from some of the past participants of this event. We have been running this at the Yankee Club, then Cobblestones, and now Finleys and I have NEVER not paid out very healthily to the winner of this event.

It is a testament to the commitment and following this tournament has. between the calcutta and tournament entry, the winner usually rolls with $800 or more for a 1 day event.

I run a very tight ship tournament as well so you can count on matches being played in a timely manner, a respectful atmospher and smooth running event.

Lets make this tournament a success for everyone involved.

Rick

My current Thursday night league average is 9-7 for an .563 average. Does this mean my entry fee will be 25 dollars?

Thanks

Kevin

As long as you think that is where you fall and that is what your average dictates, then, yes, you will pay $25. If, however, you feel you still play at the speed or better than when you and I were playing eachother 5 or 6 years ago, then I would say you pay the $50, but we can discuss it. The average was more like a guideline to give people an idea of what I consider "Advanced". Im shooting .650 and I would be paying the Advanced based on my tournament play results in other events.

But as a rule, if I dont know you, and or cant verify your speed, you will most likely be paying the $50 entry fee. I would recommend that each of you plan on paying the $50.

What would a player like Josh Brothers be. He is not a Pro. But is a great player. How much would he pay.

entry fee

Josh would be in the same category as Brett, probably pay the pro but I dont know

Brett would pay PRO since he is sponsored and GREAT, Josh would pay PRO since he is GREAT. You know those guys that go around and ROB the MD tournaments like Josh, Ryan, Shaun, Mike, Brett, Matt, Kevin West. Those are the names that are ALWAY at the top of your pro-am tournaments and those are the guys who would pay the PRO entry fee. I know some of them have since recieved sponsors, but you dont have to have a sponsor to be pro-caliber. I can tell you that MOST players are going to fall in the $50 range. If you are paying the PRO you probably already know that you are since you pay that at ACTION and other staggard entry fee tournaments.

I can attest that 3rd place paid mighty nice like:embarrassed2:...espec since I had all of my calcutta guy!
