Meucci Originals 84-3 MO-4 Shaft w-Moori Tip; Remarkable!

If this shaft is worth double than what it would normally go for just for being remarkable(straight), I should make a killing getting rid of all my old remarkable shafts... GLWS

A new low deflection shaft, made in China, will cost more than my opening bid price.

I was told that this shaft was very special, by someone who works on hundreds, if not thousands of shafts per year.

That's good enough for me.

Are you insisting that uncle Bob is having his black dot shafts made in China? If so that is not true, he makes them in his air conditioned garage at his home. I helped him when I was back home for a visit make some. If your talking about other shafts being made in China then I am sorry if I spoke out of turn!

Hello again,

No, I'm not claiming that Meucci is having their shafts made in China. I'm speaking about the company that is the leading seller of low-deflection shafts. And I'm not saying that they aren't any good. I'm just saying I prefer the shafts that this company had made for them by Falcon Cues, when they were located in Florida, and didn't have a cat logo. All of this company's shafts now come from China.

The Meucci shaft I have here is from the best era of Meucci Cues, when they made "Meucci Originals." The cues Meucci made from 1975 until the early 90's, were arguably the finest the company ever made, or ever will make. This is not just my opinion, but the general consensus of those in the billiards industry. And I'm not saying you won't get a good Meucci nowadays, but in recent years there have been many noted problems with improper fit and finish, warped shafts, and a general lack of quality control. Perhaps these problems have been corrected with the move to a new facility? You may know more about this than I, and perhaps could elaborate on the current situation at Meucci cues. Do they have enough help? Do their workers have an eye for defects, or a quality control checklist in place?

Hello again,

I just dropped the opening bid price on this to $135.00.

That's as low as I'll go for a shaft that stands out against the masses.

Old-growth wood that is straight as an arrow. How many times have you seen high dollar custom cues, where it's described, "both shafts have a little roll to them," etc.

Meucci owners should take advantage of this deal. If not, it goes back in the case, and something else goes up for sale.

Regards,

Glen

But yet here you are bumping the thread less then 24 hours after your post saying you read the rules. I think you need to re-read them as reading comprehension isnt your strong suit.
