Call me crazy, but with the amount of old brunswicks and the like why don't the major company's just make the old rubber profile ....
i would hazard a guess and say that 50% of old gold crowns have the wrong rubber on them.
the only solution is to have the subrails modified ....this is obviously ideal for many reasons. However with the advancements in modern rubber and the like I bet that the old profile would play pretty well if they were artemis ....
I know everyone wants to modify the subrails etc and make the table play right with modern rubber profiles ...but really how many people even know about this? ....there is probably a question about this every two days or more and the sad realization comes when they find that they have to lay down a grand to make it play like a diamond doesn't sit very well with most.
I also think it's pretty sad that Brunswick themselves abandoned their older tables like that by not making rubber that fits properly.
anyway ....that's all i have to say .
